i was with E-on, was fed a pack of lies by Scottish Power so swapped to them. Soon has a blazing row and i'm now back with E-on. I don't truly trust any supplier not to say what you want to hear but they at least don't want to move my DD up and down every quarter like a tarts knickers which was the problem with SP. I also have an energy owl and have watched it obsessively since it arrived, what i'd really like to know is how much leccy it is using itself so i know how much it's costing me.

    Night out for my friend's 50th :D

Two thirds of a bottle of wine and a tequila sunrise and a half and I was beyond tipsy :rotfl: I don't really drink often, so am a very cheap date :o (Very MSE!)

Worst night's sleep ever and Hungover Fresian is hungover :rotfl:

On the bright side, I'm VERY glad I don't smoke anymore as I think my hangovers were worse when I did. My mouth certainly tastes, while in no way fresh and kissable, more appealing than an ashtray, so hurrah for that :j

Quiet hugs for the hangover - but sometimes (very rarely) they're worth it!

And congrats on the no smoking too :T

Hello FF! Have been away in ManchesterLand watching Take That boys :T so have got a lot to catch up on on here, you have the honour of being first lol!

That is shocking that you pay that much for gas and electric??? My DD is went up to £54 a month for December and January but they've put it back down to 46 now because I got into massive credit. That's for 2 people in a 2 bed flat, with Eon and I find them fine. I don't think there's much to choose between all the energy companies though, they are all just as bad as each other!

    Glad you enjoyed your weekend!

    xx

Got letter from SG yesterday asking for final readings as I couldn't move without. Phoned and gave readings and they then said they couldn't actually use them as they had to come from EON but now I was on the phone what would it take to make me stay?

Oddly enough nothing after that stunt. Wish I knew if they still had little usage monitors tho, I'd love one of them as I'm convinced we power the power station next door somehow.

    Hi kissjenn

The person you spoke to at SG is right about the closing meter reading.

It is the responsibility of the gaining supplier to give this reading to the old supplier. In this way the opening reading for the new supplier should match the closing reading used by the old supplier.

I would give E.ON a call with a meter reading on the day the supply changes hands. Tell us it is your opening meter reading. This will then be recorded on your account and sent electronically to SG so they can close their account and send a final bill.

Check the closing reading on the final bill is the same as the opening reading on your first E.ON bill. This will make sure you only pay once for the energy used.

Energy monitors are really useful tools. :jThere is some excellent info about these on the MSE gas and electric Forum. You may find the following link helpful. Page 2 in particular.

    Hi Lemon Tree

The Energy Monitor we supply free with our Energy Saver tariff is supplied by Current Cost. According to their website it costs about 2.5 pence per week to run. :)

Not sure about all the other monitors on the market though.

    Hope this helps.

Know what you mean Lurker. I am told by not so energy conscious youngest daughter that I'm a total obsessive when it comes to such things. Especially when I'm following her around the house turning lights off after her. :rotfl:
