  • hi everyone.
    i started this yesterday and am very hopeful as ive tried everything from slimfast to weight watchers and i cant seem to loose more than 5lbs or so. im vegetarian and was very suprised and aprehensive when i read that you have to reduce your carbs as i practically live off pasta and toast, and also some quorn is really high in carbs aswell.
    ive got about 42lbs to loose and im hoping i can do it by may as im going on holiday. does anyone think thats even possible or have i set my goal too high as i dont know what i can expect to loose on this diet.
  • yesterday was a much better day for me im sssoooooooo hungry today all i can hear in my brain is bread, chocolate and every other food i love. but am really trying not to eat and im drinking as much water as i can. oh please some1 tell me il get over this stage soon.... i cant stop thinking of food all day.

    CG - I SOOOO can relate to the "suprise" of the bar - flipping horrible,but it looked so nice ! (IMO!)

    I think its normal to dwell on what you cant have ..... it will pass im sure when I did a low carb diet a few yrs ago I lost all craving for choc's and bread etc

    Yeah I know sounds too good to be true.
    Keep drinking water ..if you find it hard get a water filter jug and keep a full jug in the fridge
    you might find yourself drinking loads ..often that is because we just dont drink enough.
    a better day today the shake was ok Banana and even the snack bar was ok compaired to the shock of yesterday....
    I did have one of my daughters cheese scones she had made at school (they were small and yummy) I dont feel any guilt ....
    I know I shouldn't have but as i had spent so much time on the loo yesterday I weighed myself ....24hrs I had lost 5 lbs..how crazy is that? not much time on loo today im glad to say.
    belive in yrself ..I think this is going to be my tag..

    Hi guys!

    How is everyone getting on? Hope you are all doing well.

    I am still struggling at the mo-weekdays are fine-not a problem but the weekends are a bit of a problem at the mo, there always seems to be something on and I end up not sticking to it. I was hoping for a good weight loss this week but if anything I have lost 1Ib max! Getting a bit fed up with myself for giving in to chcolate so easily!!

    For the next 2 weekends we have something on so probably wont lose over the next 2 weeks but from then on I will sort it out. The days are getting brighter too so at least i will be able to get out a bit more.

  • hi all feeling much better today just had my beef soup and it was ok. going to head out for a walk tonight that might help a bit.

    Well I weighed in on Mon and like I expected, I didn't lose anything :( However, I weighed in again this morning and was 3lbs down :) I was mega bloated and retaining water I think!
  • well done Blah for losing 3 lbs.

    I am day 3 now and I was quite hungry to day but kept drinking water...

    am so proud of myself for not having any biscuts today as there were all around and I was quite hungry.

    While the shakes and soups are handy I do look forward to my meal at night of "real food".
    I made some lime sugar free jelly yesterday which my kids wanted to eat.....I had made normal jelly too for them but they wanted mine.
