I agree with DeeBee, it's so much easier if you don't have those things in the house to start with. Unfortunately with a 16 year old son that's pretty unachievable as he likes a packet of crisps now and then and is a complete chocaholoic.
I've bought some of the Aitkina Endulge (their spelling!) bars and have half of one of those is I'm craving chocolate which isn't often as I'm more a savory fancier! BTW - the endulge bars are 3 for £1.50 at Tesco's at the mo.
I'm lucky as where I work there is nowhere to buy lunch unless I drive somewhere so I just take into work fruit for mid morning and mid afternoon and my soup for lunch. It's when I get home that my problems begin especially around this time! I usually treat myself to a small piece of cheese wrapped in ham.
It's usually the cost of CS which keeps me motivated! :rotfl:I've paid out too much to give up!Light Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0 -
This sounds really good,
I want to loose a bit of weight but my main issue is eating healthier,
Breakfast I always have either honey sandwhiches or toast
Lunch at work either, footlong subway, kebab chicken and rice, nandos, risotto from the cafe, rarely mc donalds and lunch costs a fortune, I can't always bring food from home
Dinner is always home made and fairly health
thinking if I can swap one or both of these meals with the shakes it would be cheaper than the £6 a day I pay for lunch and healthier?
also for breakfast my OH has horlicks but I can't stand the taste would this be a good alternative for him and me? (i know horlicks is cheaper than this but if he likes it and has it with me it'll probably encourage me)
and finally does it need water to work? I hate drinking water, it's always coke, juice or milkYes Your Dukeiness0 -
reehsetin... you would be paying about £4 per day on the shakes and things. it does taste good and I have to admit I have been feeling satisfied and not wanted to binge at all. You can get celebrity slim 4 him too so your OH could join you .
It does recommend that you drink 2ltrs of water every day to help with your weightloss and plain water is best. If you can find a low carb/ low sugar squash I cant really see why there would be a problem. Someone earlier in this thread recommended Sainsbury's basics squash. maybe you could give that a go.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.0 -
Okay well yesterday started off so much better.
Breakfast was a hot shake
Snack was apple and small piece of cheese
Lunch was cs soup...chicken was written on the packet, but I don't think it was...lol
Snack was mullerlight
Dinner was chicken omelette...but was from the chinese and had about 8 chips with it and a can of "fat" coke.
And I had a Jack Daniels with diet coke.
But overall I was quite pleased with myself.
Also managed to drink 1.5 litres of water...I found a 750ml sports bottle and find it easier to drink from that.;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
Started last Monday lost 9 lbs when I weighed myself this morning :j0

hi guys
Not posted here for a while as I have been struggling a wee bit to get back on it had my DH's dads 60th birthday tea at the weekend and it is that time of the month unfortunately so feeling really rubbish. Started back on it properly today and going to stick to it! I don't know if it is just me but I have been feeling really carp over the past few weeks and I know it is because I ahve been eating so much rubbish and carbs and not drinking enough water. Jilly that is fantastic well done-that will keep you motivated to keep at it.
Will do a weigh in next Wednesday as that is my usual day anyway-not done a proper one since Dec 23rd so should be interesting!
Have a good week everyone!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Hello Everyone!
I hope you are all doing really well on the diet!
I lost 3 pounds this week which was a BIG shock as, I confess, I haven't been all that strict on the diet and I haven't been on the treadmill once. Hopefully I will keep losing!
That is 22 pounds in total! Not long until I hit the 2 stone marker!
:jI am ordering Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred dvd which is supposed to be really tough as I want to get fitter! :j
It is really strange at the moment as no one believes how much I weigh. I don't know if anyone else ever gets this but people don't believe that I weigh as much as I do. I am 5'2 and was 181 when I started the diet. I was wearing a tight size 16 on the bottom and now they are baggy. I want to weigh about 118 as that puts me right in the middle of the healthy range but all I hear is "where are you going to lose another 40 plus pounds from"!
I don't understand it as I can see how big I am! It is just a pain at the moment as everyone is telling me to stop losing and to go on to the maintenance plan. I am not ready for that as I still have a long way to go!!
Oh well rant over!

Hi Everyone
I'd really like to join this thread... I have just ordered a 4 week supply of CS and want to start on Monday. In all, I am hoping to shed 9 stone :embarasse although my target to start with is to lose 5 stone by September.
I'll update my Sig when I get home from work in the morning with my weight because I genuinely don't know what I weigh (I have been to ashamed to check tbh, but as that has got me no-where, A kick up the backside is required)!!!
