I love the Boots thread, those girls are amazing.:D
Re the "humiliating powder," heard the Island Glow shade described as "David Dickinson powder":rotfl:I can see what they mean, but can't bring myself to knock a freebie:D Have had a powder and line gel free this month and still got a voucher for another powder.
:rotfl::rotfl:Ooooh scary. They didn't have the pink one, so I am stuck with the DD variety. I think I had better save this for late summer; it's going to look a bit daft on a strawberry blonde with freckles. Hmmm. Thanks for the warning.
I agree with you about the Boots thread - my, are those girls dedicated to the art of the bargain. It certainly puts me on my mettle to check the machine offers and the cheapy shelves every time I go in.
Shoe Gal, I guess today feels a bit flat because you've done so much over the past couple of days. I agree with Sarah - can't wait for October and the big virtual celebration here.Hope you've got a nice treat in mind for later.
Jo - That's a great suggestion about the library - will pop over to mine in the week & see what they have.0 -
Hi everybody
Didn't get very far with my list today, managed the gym this morning and sorted out my old mobiles and Quidco but nothing else
Spent time with family though and had a nice afternoon so all is not lost! Last day off tomorrow so I intend to give all the planning/sorting etc one last push before I go back to workSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Mornin!
OMG - I have loads to do today and I'm sat here watching Jeremy Kyle in my pyjamas - I'm in the pyjamas, not him! :rotfl:
Not doing a list, as I didn't finish yesterday's I think it might be quite demotivating as it will be soooo looooong !!!

Didn't get too much done yesterday either as someone managed to reverse into OH's car. As he's gone off with mine to do some work, I am fortunately chained to the house and therefore need to do some tidying and sorting.
Race you! Not racing Sarah, as she is much faster than me with that Golden Bin Bag.0 -

Ok, you're on!! So far I have put washing on, quick tidy of lounge and kitchen, and a proper tidy of my bedroom - one bin bag filled! Mostly magazines and earrings, didn't realise I had so many and can necer find a matching pair! I have far too much stuff - no wonder I am in debtSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -

I am quite pleased with what I have achieved over the last 4 days, I really feel that I have turned a corner
Now the next big challenge will be keeping on track when I go back to work. With my long hours and commute I am always really busy and tired when I'm working and I easily let things slip
I know not to set my self too high targets and then sabotage myself but I really want to keep going. I have just joined the 100 day challenge to buy no magazines
The big thing I need to do is get up in the mornings and get to work for 8.30. This is always a big challenge for me, I am so not a morning person  but if I can do this and take advantage of my flexible working it means I will have more time for the other things I want to do - like the gym
So here's my, slightly revised, list for the rest of the week- lose 2lbs
- exercise 3 times
- drink 1 litre of water a day
- 2 x NSD
- get to work by 8.30
- take lunch to work
- print and post letters
- keep apartment tidy
- do one thing every day just for me

Shoe Gal, you are an absolute star :jyou're doing brilliantly & I'm so pleased for you.
I have been a greedy lazy moo all weekend& am thoroughly ashamed at myself. Oh well, back on track again tomorrow
Lots of luck for the week ahead although I think you're on a mission now so just keep that momentum going & I'll be trying to emulate your success :T
