Surely you mean an OP of £65,255 to get down to 5 figures :rotfl:.

    Well spotted

The £254 is because if you ask HSBC to loan you £165,000 they get the paperwork wrong and give you the wrong amount

Ouch that's a nasty mistake. I hope someone got a right old telling off for that!

Is that them messing up your loan amount? Or is it meant to be that big?

Ours started at over £1000 which we paid with poxy OPs for 2 years! It dropped over £200 after that though.

It’s to do with them being incompetent :)
As the mortgage was called for on the 20th August they can't set up the first payment until the 1st October so the extra £200 is the interest for 11 days in August

Normal amount/month is around £845 (don't tell me off for not knowing the exact amount to the penny)

But BF OP'ed £10K :jyesterday (the max you can do in 1 day on-line) and will be doing it again, today, tomorrow and Saturday

Then we need to cost up the house improvements we want to do and OP any left over money in the pot

We were both lucky, bought houses at the right time, found this site and both started OPing our own mortgages

With house prices increasing (even though we didn't get the max due to being not being ready to sell until after the price drop but the house we bought dropped as well) and OP's we came away with £176K
