Don't be surprised if it takes a day or two, not everyone is on comps at the weekend.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Euro Car Parks. This one is slightly different. Manor Walks,Cramlington,Northumberland. Behind office block there is a small car park. About 16 normal bays and 2 Disabled bays. Painted on road at entrance - Permit Holders and Service Vehicles only. (Could not see this due to maneouvring lorry). Sign on pole on grass verge to right, about 8 - 10 feet high, The Euro car Parks logo etc warning that only Permit Holders allowed to park, and offenders may face a 50 pound fine. On the wall just to the right of Disabled bays is a sign 12 x 9 inches stating "Staff Disabled Parking For Dudley Court Office Suites." I parked in a Disabled bay and displayed my Blue Badge. Honestly I was away 2 to 3 monutes, and when I returned the attendant had not even time to place the Parking Charge Notice on my vehicle. He handed it to me then took a photograph of the car. The Notice states "No valid permit on display". I think the "offence" must be wrong - I can't display what I don't have. Surely it should have been " Parked in contravention etc, not being the holder of the requsite permit" or something like that. The Notice states if I don't pay by 10/8 the 30 rises to 50. (I did not rob any staff of a disabled bay - they were not used that day, nor were several other spaces.) I'm worried about the Notice but also about the fact they may try and get at me involving my Disabled badge. From what I've read they are quite nasty. Any sound advice would be appreciated.0

If it's a Eurocarparks invoice it's not "slightly different". It's a scam PPC invoice.
Ignore it and any further correspondence.0 -

Don't quite know what you mean by this but as the blue badge scheme doesn't apply on private car parks they can't do anything. From what I've read they are quite nasty.
No, they are just a bunch of chancers who can be very easily ignored until they give up!
Your case is no different from the hundreds of others on here.
See this thread for the fraudulent letters you can expect to be ignoring...0 -
Thanks for the advice. After all of these years, and suddenly this. I was worried they could try and involve my Blue Badge licensing authority. i.e. misuse of badge . Please try and understand. Getting on in years, clean licence, no experience of parking "tickets or invoices", and I panicked. I have read all of the numerous postings, but I needed some encouragement. Lastly, may I ask. Have they ever taken anyone to Court.? I do really appreciate all the help and advice I can get.0

No, never. Euro Car Parks have never to my knowledge taken anyone to Court, ever.
They can't involve your Blue badge in anything - they have no 'authority' over anyone at all! They are just a company sending you an invoice, and then they'll step up the pressure with some fake debt collector letters pretending that Court will follow. IT WILL NOT.
You can see what letters you will receive by looking at the first sticky thread at the top of this board 'PPC letters/threats, what to expect'. Euro Car Parks are on there and are VERY TAME, they only send about 3 letters then give up.
I know because I have my 3 letters from over a year ago, right here in my handbag to show people. And do you know what, I'd be more than happy to collect more fake PCNs from the same company (which was Euro Car Parks just like you!), to cost them some money. I would like them and their 'debt collectors' Control Account to write to me again - honestly, because it would cost them money and of course, I wouldn't pay!
I too have a clean licence and am law-abiding, but can tell you that these fake PCNs are NOT real parking fines and you still have that clean licence and driving record!
Stop worrying, ignoring this scam is like deleting phishing emails. You owe nothing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I just had a europark fine letter this morning and after reading this plan to ignore it. Thank you all
Question : the euro car park I had the ticket from is very conveniently next to a lovely independent cinema with no on street free parking. Does the fact euro car park cant enforce the "fine" mean that I can use the spot for some lovely free parking whenever I visit the cinema
That would warm my heart if So!0 -

Depends on how brave you are!! Technically they are unenforceable, but if you gained several invoices and the PPC felt they had a chance, a District Judge could find that you were taking the pi$$.
Most people here object to receiving these invoices for parking somewhere they had a right to be. Its a different matter if you purposely park on someone's car park if your not using their amenities!
It has been known for PPC's to prove the driver, issue proceedings and win. Very very rare, but I would not recommend trying it out!;)
PS: you are correct in ignoring the one you have received!:D0 -

Yes if you mean the Euro car park is a free car park anyway (e.g. a Supermarket one). I use Supermarket car parks a lot, sometimes also spending some money there. It's what used to be considered good business practice to encourage passing trade - now the retailers have gone the other way and think nothing of threatening anyone who they think breaks any 'rules' in their little piece of the UK. I reckon they will regret it, especially as people don't even have to go to a Supermarket now to get food.
But no, most peeps here wouldn't suggest you should park for free if the Euro car park is a P&D arrangement. Most would pay a reasonable amount for a couple of hours...hmmm...but overstaying a bit...well, I'm not averse to that!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
