Can I assume from the above, that it's taking a couple of weeks before we can get an appointment for a DRO.I have just pressed the button to apply through CCCS, but my new bank account isn't in place yet. Can I assume that although they may contact me etc, they don't proceed until I am ready and have everything in place? Hope so, or i will start Panicking!!0

Yesterday DROs were launched with Intermediaries working from version 1 of the guidance notes.
Today they have been replaced by version 2.
Tomorrow...?
I do think things will settle down and they'll be a useful tool for a lot of people.
I've just noticed that the National Debtline factsheet has been sorted out. I was printing it out on Friday and having to make handwritten corrections.
Just noticed the Insolvency Service guide to DROs0 -
How would the household bills be worked out if the person applying for the DRO was in a low income full time job,the partner was unemployed and there was a "child"(27!) at home working full time? The only area where i am unsure if this would be the right way for OH to go.
Oh is at the moment paying CCC's £70 a month on about 12k of debt. It was taken on joint income but i am out of a job come thursday so will need to infom them of the change in circumstance. Not certain they will reccomend a DRO but need to explore every angle before hand.

I know he will have to have less than £50 a month to live on but.....how would we split the household bills? Because my daughter is a full time worker would they expect her to pay half/quarter of the rent, rates ect. All the bills are in joint names except tv licence and internet which is in mine! How much would i be expectd to contriubute with my jobseekers alowce of 60.50 per wk!

Put down the proportion of the bills that you actually pay, and leave out what your daughter pays.0
