OMG just read my last post, how bad was that:rotfl:. My excuse is my laptop is playing up.

Thanks PP. So i would put down the total cost and add my JSA as "other" income?.I am getting confused over it being OH's DRO not mine,so is it(£50) taken on his suplus or "our" joint suplus.

Another point is if i leave out my daughters contribution(she pays £30 a wk) that means OH can not claim allowances for 3 adults.

Maybe i should just post up an i&e and let you "special folk" look at it?

:oummmm looked on second page .

I know he will have to have less than £50 a month to live on but.....how would we split the household bills? Because my daughter is a full time worker would they expect her to pay half/quarter of the rent, rates ect. All the bills are in joint names except tv licence and internet which is in mine! How much would i be expectd to contriubute with my jobseekers alowce of 60.50 per wk!

Sorry for being think but i dont see those answers on page 2!:o

Hi dalip, not sure if this is any help, on my SOA i had to put down what my 21 year old son pays me for keep which is 40.00 a week , this is to cover his share of rent, c-tax, food, bills.
they class him as a non dependant other.

Wonderful dizzy. Many thanks . Thats the sort of thing i was wanting to know. Therefore they allow more on food, heating ect if there are so many adults in the house as opposed to just me and OH.

I also have another daughter, who is pregnant and unemployed, who still lives at home:mad:.Hopefully not for much longer.Dx

I was interested in a DRO until I read this. I bought a flat few years ago but am now very much in negative equity. Does this mean that I can't have a DRO even though I have no equity in the property?

    Yes, sorry

does anyone know......do a husband and wife count as one application or two?

Can we do two applications as together we owe 28,000......14000 each

Applications are per person so if you each owe less than 15k then you're over that particular hurdle.

    Hi
You need to make sure that your income covers your essential expenditure, so amount available for repayments needs to between £1 and £50 but no more.

Hi D....hope you are OK girl!!!...good luck on your last day at work!!

Anyway as you know I`m absolutely rubbish at the SOA thing & tbh....even worse on SOA relating to DRO`s!!!

Add contents insurance c£10 & I think `bday/xmas presents` at £20 would be dispensable really. That still leaves a shortfall & I guess the only thing to reduce would be the food bill.

I`m telling you to suck eggs but CCCS/NDL /CAB are options . Please share the info as no-one yet knows what is acceptable in the world of DRO - SOA`s.

Maybe start your own thread perhaps.

    Take care of you,

    Angex

    Anyway, my question is:
I'd be interested to hear anyone's thoughts on whether a payment from a third party to bring me under the 15k barrier would be viewed as okay? After all, the creditors get a small payment they wouldn't have had otherwise. On the other hand, the creditors could get greedy and think if a third party can contribute 3k then maybe they can somehow squeeze more money from the third party (which would be distressing and in the end wouldn't actually succeed).

Sorry if you have already sorted out the above issue, but my understanding is that only debts that are unpaid can be included in a DRO, so if you are able to pay off one or more debts or reduce the amounts of all your debts by the aformentioned £3k then this would be OK. As for a DCA demanding money from a third party (who I would take as being a friend or family member) well this isn't allowed. I am constantly being asked by DCAs if a family member can pay off my debt/s, but it would against the rules for a DCA themselves to go around to my family demanding that they pay my bill. Also, what one creditor or DCA doesn't know won't hurt them. Just don't tell everyone that you paid off one or more debts. That said, maybe I should have read the response to your original posting :D
