If you're having a plasma, you won't need a radiator!0

My Solution: Remove the radiator, you wont need it with a Plasma up:p:D0

I dont mind them on walls but they should be at a reasonable height not high up like what Avoriaz mentions
I have a small lcd on chimney breast in bedroom and its fine but downstairs I use a stand with other stuff, but I do have the room in a alcove for it up to about 70"0 -

Many thanks for some very useful ideas, it so happens, the ideal place and height seems to be above the radiator, the heat is an issue. Most definitely it will not be a Plasma. Furniture suggested by Belnahua is good but I already have a mantle piece(chimney) and will look too busey.
5 years warranty should cover for the 5 years, in case of any mishaps.
thanks a lot everyone.
