    Almost last day of feb!!!!

Two months of the year gone already! Need to go over numbers for dd party this weekend and make sure I know who is coming and who is not. Also need to write list of food and get stuff for party bags. My mum is sorting out the cakes so I dont have to worry about that:)

Havent got anything specific planned for today. Might go and take back jeans that didnt fit to chichester. Also will be doing todays flylady list.

I am out to a friends on saturday evening, looking forward to that:) Only sitter to pay for!

Havent really got much painting done this week, but I am planning to crack on again with it this week. Am planning on doing some more stripping in the boys room this weekend as they are away at their dads for the whole weekend!

Have now taken gas/electric readings for the last 6 days, this week looks to show a drop again in the gas and a decent drop in electricity too:) This is good as I need to claw it back after really bad cold spell and my dodgy thermostat, If I can get these readings to stay low for the next month I should be able to balance the year out as planned.

Just noticed the time, I had better get on with lunchboxes ....:)

    happy weekend everyone:)

Just taken meter readings for the week. Another huge drop in gas and a drop in electricity too!!

This week I used 29 units of gas compared with 41 last week:D
I also used 74 units of electricity compared with 84 last week!!!

This is great news!!! I want to try and lower the gas by 2 units next week and electricity by 3 units. Thats my target!

I have a few bits on my flylady list to get done this morning so better crack on.....

  • well JD i think you have inspired me to get my rear end into gear and sort my life out this week i will do my SOA and get to grips with how much I can budget and pay of my debts and start saving, I have always batched baked and cooked as like you I have a big family so I tend to look for bargains and try and save on my weekly shop. What good idea you have in monitoring your electicity & gas you have given me and other's some good tips I will continue to read your dairy and endevour to keep my self organised in an effort to become debt free and have some cash in the bank ...keep up with your diary I just hope I can be as motivated as you............right I'm off to read the flylady thead and get some motivation to clean up and decorate the hovel that I call home:rotfl: but looking at the kids fingerprints on the windows and paintwork is making me think I need to go take a lie down:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: bye for now

Midwife - I find flylady really helpful.... a handful of really simple tasks done daily means I keep on top of everything.

Took meter readings this morning, electricity shot up a bit yesterday, but I think that was due to doing 6 loads of washing yesterday!! I wont be doing any today:D

I have pretty much finished stripping the boys room now, I think I could have it finished in about half an hour, so may do that this morning, have a massive pile of ironing to do from all that washing yesterday!

Threw out a few bin liners of rubbish from boys room, its amazing how much junk kids accumulate. Hoping to start filling the walls at some point this week.....

Will be trying not to spend much this week, keeping away from the shops at all costs!!!

    Morning everyone:)

Due to a very expensive few weeks coming up, I decided last weekend to try and spend as little as possible this week and buy only what was completely neccessary.

Yesterdays spends were £1.36 on milk:eek: and £3.08 on postage for a book I had sold on amazon:)

Today I will be buying more milk and the decorations for dd birthday party. Oh and parking in town. Will pop into see a friend at work and take her a birthday card.

Need to buy some more paint etc, but will be waiting until next week to do that now.

Hoping to get most jobs done on Flylady list by 10am, it is living room today, which tbh is in pretty good shape anyway:)

WHat is everyone else up to this week? Anything exciting?

Sounds like you had a great time beanie:) I quite like the idea of putting names to faces too:)

Having a day at home today, have quite a lot to do for dd's party this weekend! Bought some of the party food at tescos yesterday, have a trip planned to Iceland tomorrow to get the rest of it and will be cooking all weekend!!! I am really excited now:D

Started to think about ds1 birthday yesterday, its on 28th march and ds3 on 7th april:D A very expensive few weeks!! ds1 will be a teenager! 13 years old I can't believe it, time goes past so quickly! He doesnt want to do anything too much this year, I am still waiting to hear what it is he does want to do :) I think I am going to buy him clothes this year as there isnt anything he particularly wants.

My bedroom is on the flylady list this morning, so will be starting on that when I get back from school...

Off to get dressed now, and put the rubbish out for the binmen!
