    Ooh, crumpets. I'd love to eat now but I'm trying to stop myself as I feel like I've eaten so much lately (probably because I have).

    Hopefully you'll get your vouchers soon Jen.

  • Matty, I see your point too... but I think the bottom line for most on MSE who do these online things for pennies, is to make money to pay off debt or to make their lives slightly easier/more enjoyable. If I had kids (which thank god I don't!) and I knew I could make £30 of amazon vouchers to buy them something they wanted but that I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford on my wages, then yeah, I would force myself to write on dooyoo if it meant it would bring a smile to their face on xmas day/their birthday.

    Similarly I would rather do something I hate to pay off a debt more quickly - surely it's better to just get it over with and pay it off, as you will be suffering for longer if you're having to pay interest on a loan? :confused:

    That's just my take on it... I guess with you being linked to dooyoo you will feel more strongly about it than I do, as you have to wade through peoples' reviews and can probably tell who's doing it for enjoyment and who's doing it for money.

    =====================

    Anywaaaaaaay! Remember I mentioned my mum's freezer? Well, I put it on gumtree and have had eight people say they would buy it. I've contacted 4 so far but none of them ever get back to me, and I'm scared to offer it to the next person in case the other people turn up at my house without warning! I'm going to have to put it on freecycle tomorrow eve, which is a shame when I could get £20 for it, but we really just need rid of it now :mad:

    Have you tried contacting the other 4 cl? If you were closer I'd give you £20 for it. Since our tall freezer died we've only had 3 drawers in the fridge freezer & my dad won't let me have another one :(. It's so annoying, especially as he insists on buying 1.5 kilo bags of chips which take up almost a whole drawer alone. I bet one day I'll crack and buy one behind his back lol.

  • Hmm, have thought about it and I don't see why I should give it away at the last minute just because of timewasters. So, I contacted one of the others and they got back to me within about 10-minutes so they're coming to collect it tonight! :D And it's tough luck on the others if they end up turning up as I did say I needed rid of it quickly.

    Nikki you should keep an eye out on your local gumtree as I always see freezers going cheap. I put ours on at £20 as my mum just wanted it gone. The council charge £15 to collect them!

    Jen when did you order your voucher from Toluna? I'm still waiting for mine from early December.

    That's good Jen, toluna take forever...

    I'm not sure if this is of any use to anyone on this thread but I thought I'd post it anyway. It's about claiming some kind of child tax credit or something if you had one born between April 86 & April 03, my parents had 4 born between those dates so I'm going to try and dig out my dads P60 for the 03 tax year to see if he qualifies. Anyhoo, the link is here.: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1362813

    That's good cl, I thought someone would take it :). I'll keep my eye out, but I would literally have to sneak it in behind my dads back lol.
