    Hi matty,
Yeah ok-perhaps hate is a strong word! I go through phases of writing on dooyoo, and when I get to the point of not being able to find anything to review, is i give up for a while, I dont stick around and just churn out 150 words of carp for the 50p. I write a maximum of 3 day-usually 2 and they are usually rated V useful.
i know what your saying about doing something you dont enjoy but to be blunt im not in the position of being able to do stuff I enjoy because I need to pay off my debt, I have to go to work in a minute-I dont enjoy it! Just because I dont like something it doesn't mean I dont give it my best shot.
I understand your points but I would appreciate if you didnt lump me in with the churners .

Hiya. I am sorry if you thought I was lumping you in with anyone - I was really meaning to express bafflement and sympathy! I just doubt anyone could make enough money off dooyoo to make it worth doing if you didn't enjoy it.

I enjoy it (at the moment) I really do. I stop doing it when it becomes a chore - as Jen pointed out, I'm currently a guide, and I've been so before, and quit, as I'd stopped enjoying it. I got back into dooyoo, and so started up again. Nobody makes me.

I used to do a lot of surveys, and now I find them tedious. I still do the odd few, but nothing like as often as I did - most of them just don't pay enough to make it worth it (for me).

Jen's right though - if you find topics that really, truly interest you, it will take the tedium out of review writing - I have to say, the reviews I've written on (say) books or films I've loved have been far more fun to write than those on cheap food items (for example)! Also, for me, the community aspect is a big up - I love seeing the comments on my reviews, and commenting myself on others' reviews. I like seeing what people think.

One difficulty I find with Qype is the lack of feedback - reviews aren't read or commented on as frequently, so I find it harder to feel loyalty to the Qype 'brand' as it were, even though in some ways, the reviews are easier to write.

Truly, I meant no offense - I guess for me, dooyoo is a hobby that happens to pay a bit. I wouldn't engage in a hobby that didn't interest me (my husband is a plane spotter - believe me when I say I stay as far away from that as humanly possible!)

    Morning all.

MM I hope you continue with Dooyoo. I can see both sides of this discussion which is quite frustrating to me. I enjoy the writing as you all know anyway which is why I could happily stay on Dooyoo all the time if I actually had the time.
I'm not entirely sure I would be there though with no benefit to myself in some way, even if it weren;t in the form it is now.

I don't believe it's a bad thing to join Dooyoo for the reward as well as the writing. I have read a lot of your reviews MM and I can tell when you have written something you're not passionate about, it does show in everyone's reviews I think, so for that part I agree with Matty about writing about subjects you enjoy to take the tedium away. However on the other side of it, I know you're not just there for the fast 50p as Jen pointed out you only write a few per week not day like a lot of other members.

Ok I think I've waffled enough on the subject now. Am off to se if my scratchcard money is returned.

Morning all. I did no lose bingo last time they had it and got the money back in a few days.

I really need to sort out what to spend my £500 on. About £100 of it is going on a laser printer (need that as I'll have to print out all of the paypal payments for tax records & current printer would cost a small fortune in ink), and boxes/bigger jiffy bags for the bigger boxes. Unfortunately I'm an idiot and used internet banking to send the money to the new account I set up so I can't buy anything til it arrives there in a few days. Grr!

I didn't get the last two lol, think I must be the exception to the rule but will try for this one cheers.

Am over half way on qype now, a dooyoo review is up and am enjoying some peace whilst dd2 is asleep to read on Dooyoo.

I've also filled 2 charity bags this morning which feels good.
  • Every time I come on here to update on my savings target everyone's talking about dooyoo! I personally don't NEED the money as I'm no longer in debt or struggling, and the hourly rate for writing reviews is terrible, especially when it takes a long as it takes me, but I enjoy writing semi-creatively and thinking about my wording and particularly thinking up a pun for the title, so getting a few free books or whatever every now and then is a bonus.

Anyway, I've just popped on to say that I've received £1 in interest on my savings account, taking my savings so far up to £1,337, still a bit to go though and January's been such a LOOONNNGGGG month!

Thanks Nichelette for that Rimmel link, fingers crossed! I love owt for nowt! :T

They're all obsessed with dooyoo :p. I like to dip in every now and again. I did my first review since the 3rd of Jan (I think anyway) earlier, it seems quite busy on there. I feel like I've done nothing productive today, all I've really done is a lot of washing and made some bread. I've realised I need to wait for a cash card before I can buy anything as it's all online anyway (I'm an idiot), I can't buy supplies or anything :(. It's frustrating as that's the main thing I need to start selling.

Hopefully we'll all get the foundation, I think it's first come first served, and it has been running from the beginning of the month, but we'll see. I got the mascara last time which I quite like, and the liquid mineral foundation from the time before which I gave to my little sister.
