Haha, I know more alcoholics than I realised by that first definition.
I also got 2 out of 3.:o
I am not drinking again today so it is 5 AF days out of 9 days for me Lurkio please.
I only have 5 days to reach my target but I am going to try and get more than 10 AF days this month.
Are we going to do this every month I was wondering because I find it helpful?:T
I'm going to get a nice cup of tea and hopefully some chocolate if I haven't eaten it all.
Hope you all are okay.....HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

I hate those that are more articulate than myself  :rotfl:
However, I wasn't addicted to alcohol, I did abuse it regularly. And am defo alcoholic (which is more mental than 'how many units you drink a week')
Thanks GC but you do a very good job of putting your point across, like I said we do the softly softly approach more often than not on here so I think sometimes your posts may hit home a bit hardPlease keep posting though, we do need a swift kick up the you know what sometimes too :rotfl: ( I am going to try hard not to revert to my old habits once I have finished cooking my little alien though!!)

2.5 Units for me again last night. Sticking with it so far :j
I found this earlier ......following on from yesterdays discussion........
(Take your pick ) :
Alcoholic as defined by healthy drinking limits
According to this definition of alcoholic, a male drinking more than 8 pints of usual strength lager (5%abv) per week, on a routine basis would be classified as an alcoholic. A female drinking more than 1.5 bottles of wine (13%abv) per week on a routine basis would be classified as an alcoholic.
Alcoholic as defined by psychological addiction to alcohol
According to this definition of alcoholic, anyone suffering from marked cravings to use alcohol, who has developed a regular routine of alcohol use and who routinely places more importance on the use of alcohol than other important activities, would be classified as an alcoholic.
Alcoholic as defined by physical addiction to alcohol
According to this definition of alcoholic, anyone suffering from alcohol withdrawal symptoms such as tremor and sweating when going without a drink for a period of time, would be classified as an alcoholic.
Ooh first two applied to me pre-preg :eek:0 -
Number 2 must have been a bit lapse Shoppy as you managed an important activity to get pregnant

According to definition number 1 everyone I know is an alcoholic!!!
I'd tick one and a half boxes because although I have a regular routine of alcohol use I don't put it above other important things.
I think I am quite susceptible to the effects of alcohol, even when habitually drinking, so I get sloshed very easily and suffer all the side effects.0 -

HI TO EVERYONE :hello:
I am feeling very well today and Lurky I am doing a you. Reliving my youth listening to some old and much loved bands. ( I feel 15 again, before anyone says it, yes I know that ship has sailed) :rotfl:
On a more serious note I am just catching up with today's posts.
Bhb thankyou for your earlier post, I have for a while regularly drank a lot more that 1.5 bottles of wine, as I have previously said when I do open wine my problem is not knowing when to stop. I don't seem to know when I have reached a reasonable limit? Am I kidding myself by thinking that I only have as I put it: a bad habit and it is something much more serious??? It is certainly something I will address and give thought to.
To Ranger 8 I am sorry but I forgot to say belated birthday wishes for Wednesday. :T I am sorry to hear though that you were so very ill and also Ra that you have been to. To hear this is indeed a very good reason for us all to address the amount we drink.
Miamoo forgot to say yesterday: Toni and Guy very impressive I bet you look fab.:T
Polaroid don't worry kit kats are more of a biscut anyway, hope you have a good day. xxx
Off to the gym now guys will check back on you all later, I don't intend to drink today but I will update my score this evening. (Don't want to tempt fate).
Take care everyone, hope you all have a good day, hugs. xxxxxxxxxCherish the ones you love and travel back on the road that brings you home

Afternoon all,
lurkio - actual now 5 for me I stayed away from alcohol last night but it was hard - 2 kitchen cupboards cleaned out and all the ironing done but feel pleased today that i didnt succumb(sp?)
maman - agree entirely with your post, my OH can take a couple of glasses out of a bottle and then leave it for another time whereas I used to be like this but last year I became the person who had to finish that bottle. well done for not finishing his glass last night.
Should be able to remain AF tonight as no alcohol in house and no money in purse to do anything about it, and yes I am eating more as wellas well as drinking an awful lot of water.0
