Morning,
FF - Way to go  ....can only dream of the day my overdraft is gone!!
Should be another NSD today:A but will update that later, just incase DH leads me astray!
PAD of £77 (cc min payment). Off to Ebay like crazy and clear some clutter. Our small house is full to bursting, 5 people and the lab plus all our !!!!, somethings gotta go!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Be back later!!!LBM O/D £4300, CC £3,450, Next £350, Loan £9200:eek:  :eek:PaD Joined 14/2/09 £194.01:T£2 coins for Xmas 2009 Target £200 - £16:ANSD Feb 09 9/10:cool:NSD Mar 09 10/160 -
Way to Go Flying Friesan (Can't you see I have been watching too much bingo chat:rotfl:) on paying off the dreaded overdraft and it seems a good plan for your Barclaycard too, sensible to be cautious but you know that if all goes well the money is there to pay it off.
Once I've finished with the car fund I am going to save my PAD to pay off my 0% cards not because I am being cautious but because I want to squeeze the last bit of interest out of the bank (though with the interest rate there might not be a lot to squeeze.) Not complaining though my mortgage is already down £660 a month and due to fall further next month:j
I only get paid every 3 months which is why I get into this mess in the first place:mad: but I am going to say this very quietly even after paying for our holiday flights in August and my flight to Uganda in April I think I may have a surplus to pay off some debts at the end of April which is my next payday. Not going to pay extra now just in case I have forgotten something major but the balances are looking good.:D
£10 PAD to the Car Fund (Smilie people I need a blue Lotus Elise smilie that is what OH wants:rolleyes:)
Have a great weekend everyone

How come you only get paid every three months? And why are you off to Uganda? Is that for work?
What an intriguing post0 -
:jHello everyone,
wow well done F-F thats fantastic news x
hope everyone is feeling good now its the weekend !!
I have to go into town today and get my passport forms and my picci done for it,
It turns out OH got £15K loan out but with a interest rate of 16% were having to pay off £9,255.84p EXTRA
84 months to clear = £24,255.84p so now im like WOAH never in my life did I think we would get a debt that high,
BUT we have pad off the OD that stood at £1,600 (we was owed the £1K)
we have £788 left in the bank to put in savings till clearing it off and not touching it. I also have money coming to me to also go towards it so we will still be PAD'ing but to the savings as its a non flexi apparently its only 2 years more paying then what we would of been paying off.
I am really intimidated by that total and praying it wont take 84 months to clear it, our 1st repayment £288 is 1st of April.
his bank had been moving money from his Bill, Spends and Savings account and it confused us.. I may say to him get rid of the overdraft now so what the total is doesn't confuse us *I have a simple mind :rotfl:*
will come back later I hadn't made a PAD yet due to me spending £30 for tan bed session that will last me ages

Ooops, bit of a sore head today LOL.

Thankyou for the water Hopeful...I need plenty of that today. Plenty of bargain drinks in the Wetherspoons last night. Plus we made the boss get a couple of rounds in (with shots!!) as it was such a crazy, busy week.
Loving it being Saturday. I am trying to motivate myself to do some packing up and cleaning of my place as I move house next week. Looking forward to sharing with people again - it will be great for my bank balance and PADs!
Well done FF !! :j
Just £1 PAD for me. Cash flow is really tight for the next two weeks - final bills and flat deposits going backward and forward. I will make PADs though even if it's 1p !! Morning All
Loved all the posts.
FF well done on clearing your overdraft:beer:
My PAD for today is £1.50 certainly better than yesterdays.
Last night I withdrew my free £20 from ING and I cheekily took my intial investment of £1 and the 2p interest that I earnt.I do have to go back to close the account at some stage. But it still hasn't hit my current account...what happened to faster payments???
Good luck to everyone with their pads for today and have great weekend. The weather is really nice in London so I shall be off out again after lunch.

What an intriguing post
Get paid every 3 months because OH and I are directors of our family butchers company been in existence since 1870 and we get our money in the form of dividends even worse the payments are not even so we get 1/3 of our income at end Oct and end Apr and 1/6 end of Jan and end of July. We used to get paid every 6 months 1/3 and 2/3 and that was even worse. It makes budgeting difficult (or at least it used to. Big tempatation to splash out when you get paid but boy did money get short by the next payday and CC were so useful:D). So I don't want to hear any complaints about it being a long time to payday from those lucky enough to be paid monthly and as for weekly oh I wish:rotfl:
Going to Uganda because I am a trustee of a small charity that works to help orphan children out there we have also built 2 schools and a health clinic and it is my job to go out and see the children do reports and visit the projects I go every year and I love it, the kids are great.
Please can I have a Barclaycard rant. Account closed by me after they tried to give me £5300 for free and when I reported that they might want to take it back they kindly charged me £2.88 in interest for my trouble. After I complained they gave it me back. Rang them on 19 Feb with my bank details so they could transfer the £2.88 I was now in credit and they kindly:rolleyes: decided to give me £5 compensation. Statement received today £5.03 debit they had put my so called compensation on my card and charged me 3p interest on it. Rang them up. They are so ignorant suggested that I did owe the money when I pointed out they had sent it to me and were they normally likely to send money to people on a whim he couldn't answer but he will sort it. When he asked whether he could help with anything else I said I would like an apology for all the hassle I have had (it is supposed to be coming in the post I won't hold my breath). Sorry rant over.
