    Morning!

£6.96 for me today, got to be careful not to overdo my PADs as the new month just started and we are on a tight budget. However, I got my Sure Start Maternity Grant in my account this morning (£500) and am itching to throw it at some debt but I need to wait until I get a decision on my Maternity Allowance (have to claim myself as I am self employed) before I do that so just looking at the £500 sitting in the Bank account for now...

Have a good day everyone and welcome to the newbies. I only joined 4 weeks ago and am already "PAD mad", dreaming of numbers, pounds and pence, etc. But it IS exciting see your debts go down daily!

Welcome to sunshine and tea and sympathy to poorly people.
did my pad yesterday, but didn't get here to report in! So total for yesterday and today is £51.51 thought I was doing well, but had to add £202.43 to card for car repairs:mad: is on interest free tough so a litle breathing space with that one.
OH has been out doing lots of estimates, but hasn't actually earned any money yet:confused: so still trying desperately not to buy anything unnecessary!
Need to start my lent ebaying challenge to try and make it up a little bit!
    Have a good day peeps

    Hi everyone and Well Done!!
I'm about to start PaD (should've ages ago!!) and notices people talking about boxes?! I did a search but didn't find anything. Could someone tell me what's it about please?

:hello:Mrs D welcome to the madhouse PAD is really addictive and we are a nice bunch although more than a bit loopy.

Boxes as far as I know were started by Hypno06 (well worth reading her diary she has inspired me a lot). You divide your debt into equal small manageable amounts Hypno uses £50 and the draw that number of squares either on paper as I think hypno does or as others do on a spreadsheet and every time you pay £50 off your debt you colour in a square with felt pens etc. just another motivational tip - just do what works fo you.

    £10 to Scallyfax

Reminder to all newbies (and oldies with bad memories) to put payments in bold colour or big font to help those adding up the daily totals. Thanks Flying Friesan for all your hard work:T

  • £18 for me today to holiday pot and debt. Have a day off tomorrow but will no doubt pop in to give my PaD as I have a standing order coming out for my monthly over payment.
Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP
(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)
  • PAD £1.26 for me today.

Sorry to all the poorly peeps! But hey - it's nearly the end of February, which means spring is on the way! :j And I'm sure we'll all start feeling cheerier then.
Daily Coffee Update: It's Day 2 and I'm starting to miss my favourite beverage - even though I had 8 hours sleep last night, I still feel shattered this morning. Normally this is when I'd reach for a coffee, but I'm being strong so far. Worried I'm going to crash the car during my driving lesson if I don't wake up though!

Morning all, another 50p for me today. Not up to much, might be going to see my mum later as my grampa died last year and the house has just been sold. She's not feeling great as it was the house she grew up in and lots of memories etc. :(
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.
  • Morning everyone.... hope all you sick people are feeling better soon!

No actual PAD for me today, as I only have £2 left to my name (although I should be able to chuck that in the pot later)...BUT it is pay day tomorrow :j so I will certainly catch up then!

Inspired by you all, I'm going to give up crisps and chocolate for lent... I didn't have any chocolate yesterday, but I did eat 3 packets of crisps :o so I'll start properly from today.... hope you don't mind me joining in?
