Just a small update.
I withdrew £20 from my butlins bingo free daily scratch account (usually get just 10p a day but it adds up! I also won £5 on it last week) not bad for free money.
Have moved it straight into my Japan savings which now stand at £220.26Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Hi Raph,
Have just read through your diary, sounds like you are doing really well and congratulations on the wedding! Well done on learning the sax too, that sounds really tough!LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Hi Raph,
Have just read through your diary, sounds like you are doing really well and congratulations on the wedding! Well done on learning the sax too, that sounds really tough!
Thanks Katy
I'm really enjoying playing the sax, I've downloaded some free sheet music for Christmas carols that I've been learning, so we're going to be having a sing-along on Christmas day
I've decided that I'm going to put my Japan savings into my ISA, as I will get more interest & as I don't need the money until November it makes sense. I already have £461.39 in my ISA which brings my total to £761.39Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

It is pouring with rain here, has been all week.
C was asking about getting a second Virgin media box for the bedroom, she bought a new flatscreen tv with inbuilt DVD player a few months ago, but as the reception in the bedroom is rubbish, at the moment it's just a very expensive DVD player.
I've just rang Virgin to ask about installing a second box in the bedroom (an installation fee of £35 then £9.50 a month for the same basic package as the front room) and the lady said cos I've been a customer for a long time (3 years) I was entitled to a free upgrade from my usual starter package for 2 months!
She said I would get extra movie, sports & music channels. I've checked as I got off the phone & I have tons of extra channels (well it seems tons to me, gone from 55 channels to 100 :rotfl:) also got a few cartoon channels, Disney etc.
Wife will be happy cos she's now got sports channels, I'm happy cos I've got cartoons & a horror channel. (Reminder already set for a horror film this afternoon:rotfl:)
Just need to remember to cancel before 7th of Feb!
I've also noticed I'm being charged £1.25 'paper bill charge' so better change that asap!
