I plan to pay £200 off on Friday when my wages go in, then the last £200 the Friday after!!Come on, keep up people!!
Cowabunga dude!
Great news raphael
So, what shape is the mystery parcel?
It would have been perfect if Dad had remembered I wanted to learn the saxophone, and not the Cello!! :rotfl: Bless him, he tried so hard.
Luckily the shop is just down the road from me so I popped in and the blokey said he would order in the saxophone one and swap them. He also said he does lessons for £13 a go (not sure how long a lesson is thou) right from a novice (I can't even read music so that's perfect) and he's 5 mins away
Well done ! You will be a big inspiration to others showing you can turn it around
This time it just seemed to 'click' (my LBM) and everything fell into place..."Ah so if I spend money, I won't have any in my bank!"
I might have had to sacrifice a few things for the moment, but I just told myself that the sooner I paid off my debts the quicker I could spend my money on myself, and not the banks.
As you see it chipping away you want to do more and it builds momentum.
Speaking of weight...my friend came round today, and she brought a few old photos with her, what a shock to see myself a couple of years ago!! Check out these!!<<<Before...After>>>

If it wasn't for you I'd have been in a bigger hole right now, thank you so much for being there for the journey with me.
Yes you loaned me money to help me, but the mental support was more what I needed back then. You didn't care how I had gotten into that mess, you didn't judge me for it, you just offered your shoulder to cry on and your unbias advice.
Thanks for everything

Had a really nice birthday on Sunday, me C and Shadow went for a 18 mile walk, so tired when I got in! Poor Shadow just collapsed on the sofa!
Then my bro treated me to a meal out and drinksI had a tuna steak, which I always wanted to try, it was scrummy
The walk kick-started me back into my exercise, Monday me & C went to body combat class at the gym which is always great fun. And yesterday I cycled the same track me and C walked on Sun (just missed off the last 2 miles cos it's stoney) then had a swim in the evening.
Having a rest day today, just planning a little yoga tonightfeels good to be getting back into it.
It was weigh-in day on Monday, I gained 1.5 lbs, which isn't a bad gain for over the xmas holidays

Hey all, I'm back from my very enjoyable weekend away, refreshed and ready to tackle the last of the debt and start saving & paying for this wedding
I paid £200 off the credit card before we went away, so that now stands at just £200 left to pay off, which (all things going to plan) I can pay on Friday when my wages go in
Next week I also need to pay the registrar to 'give notice' to get married, I will need to bring in all my ID and pay £30 for this, the actual ceremony won't need to be paid until a month before the wedding.
The next plan is to source out a venue, there is a nice hotel near the registery office (walking distance so no taxi costs) so we are going to try there first and check out the menus etc and prices.
In other news I have lost 3.1 lbs this week, which I am amazed about, especially considering all the full englishs, fish & chips and sussex cream teas I've been scoffing this weekend!
Now I'm back I'm going to start planning a training program for the half marathon too. Can't wait to start pounding those pavements!Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!
