Morning all, crikey what`s happened ? No - one on after 7 last night and only mrs moneypenny this morning- where`s everyone gone
? Morning K2tog & Mioliere - posts crossed.
Hmmm, maybe they`ve all been on the vino collapso,G&T`s etc and have MASSIVE hangovers
or we`ll maybe give them the benefit of the doubt and say they`ve all been knitting so hard that they haven`t had time to come on here
Last couple of days have been a bitso not been feeling very sociable, but I`m going to drag myself to the wool shop to look for silvery / white wool to do a couple of pilows for DG`s birthday (end of Sept) or maybe for extra Christmas pressie - depends when she gets her room decorated.
Had a phone call from my friend to say she`s now a granny - a little girl, so I`m practicing my crochet skills again doing a pink & white blanket like the ones I did for LH. Baby wasn`t due till the 12th of this month but decided to come 10 days early - hope your wee one doesn`t do the same Kathy or you`ll be swimming the channel to get home, not waiting for any old boat :rotfl:
Will pop back later.

Hi Elaine - my DS2 (the father of the grandchild-to-be) was three weeks early, and DIL's MIL tells me that she had all three of hers two weeks early - this is why I am on standby, even though the midwife says she'll be 'on time, possibly late'!
I'm sorry you feel sad, but it is still such early days - I think it's wonderful that you are back with us, and we are all here for you.
Here goes for the update - I'll put it in the post after this one. My PC seems to have a mind of its own sometimes; every time I add something mid line in Word, it seems to eat the following characters, if you see what I mean. May have to ask my DS1 for his advice.
I have also had to try and squeeze all the writing up because the post is getting longer and longer again - thanks to all your hard work.! I've been thinking about maybe starting a blog for all our knitting. I would be able to post a link to it in all my posts; I'm thinking about it because it would give me much more room for the updates without having to worry about having to keep bunching everything up. We could all post our own updates on our sigs, and I could do the main one on the blog, with the link to it highlighted in my posts. I could keep all the links to the patterns, tutorials and so on, on here as well as the blog. What does everyone think? It's just a thought at the moment, and I wouldn't start it until I come back from the UK after the baby is born. I'll leave that thought with you all!
I hope the update is OK - because of the afore-mentioned problem, I hope I've not made any mistakes, but PLEASE tell me if I have!

G'mornin all,
yet another grey day, I think my brain is in fuzzy grey as well today - I've just had a total block with DD2's address - then took half an hour to find my address book which was, of course where it was supposed to be
Kathy - overtyping in Word - I think all you need to do is press your insert (Ins) key! Like the idea of a blog or something for the updates - will give it a think & get back to you if I come up with anything vaguely useful.
Got a delivery from Kemps yesterday - 3 lots of Patons Jet, couldn't resist starting a(nother) scarf with some sky blue! I also got the red and black - going to use the red with the lovely pattern K2Tog has lent me! Don't know when though but I would like it for December.
Off out for brunch shortly so better hit the shower now.
Elaine - will post pattern via snail mail while I'm out.
'bye for now
luv

Good morning everybody-- a bit later than usual on parade. I made myself do some housework before I came on here-- Well thats partially true -- our line was so slow that we couldn't get on anyway!! Millions of people trying to find a diversion from the rain.
Well I have sewn all the squares together that have arrived and we are nearly there. However please don't worry if you are still in the middle of yours or still want to join in I am quite happy to keep sewing for as long as they arrive and it doesnt matter if the later ones join together to make a wonderful lap or small blanket for someone in need. So as I say please join in if you wish and keep posting the squares if you are about to start or part way through
Thank you so much for kind comments about Applique work. This is what I decided to do with them and am quite pleased. Some are more my favourites than others of course but though I would show you them all as I love seeing other peoples work. Nosiness gene !!
I was happy last night cos DD2 said " Mum they are lovely" She is 22 and not yet interested in making crafty things but loved Marvin the Manta Ray and Sid the Squid
Well it is absolutely didgusting here. An Ark could come floating by.!!
Doh has taken DMIL to the docs to have her leg dressed and we are supposed to be away in the Sunshine Bus camping in Swanage from Friday !! A wedding this Saturday and 2 more on the next 2 Saturdays so I am hoping for some sunshine !!
Thanks Kathy for all your work updating-- I would be hopeless . How lovely of Pam to fill in whilst you are acuddling !!
I think the blog idea is a lovely one I love looking at blogs and keep thinking I must start one but that would mean more time on the computer and less time crafting -- Housework I mean !!
Elaine I know we are all thinking of you every day. I am so glad you are able to post even when things are difficult because I do believe peoples thoughts/ prayers etc are with you and your family and hopefully this gives you a little bit of comfort and strength
Gentle thoughts to all those feeling a bit down ,poorly or sad and Congratulations to all those celebrating AND love to you allTry and do a good deed every day.0 -

Love the cards Linda, just given me another reason to not do any housework then!
Little ditty for you all“What are friends for,” I heard her say;“If not to help in trouble?”And she was there to lend a hand,When dreams burst like a bubble. And through it all our friendship grew;Till hope returned once more.So now I know what friendship means,And just what friends are for.

I love your 'T' Mrs Moneypenny! Beautiful knitting - so neat!
Pam - thanks for the tip and for telling me that the technical word for it is 'over-typing'! I didn't really know how to describe the problem. It's happened before and is very irritating!
I'd welcome your thoughts on a blog, too!
Chalky - they look absolutely fabulous! I know what you mean about blogging; I've never done one before and I'm worried that it will be something else that will drag me away from chores and from work - it's dangerous, working from home! I think it would be fun, though, and I shall look at starting one once I'm back from 'acuddling'!
Jean - I love the words! Like you, I can't post photos on here but I can on the Wooligans. I've just seen your lovely rag dolls - they are not aliens! They're gorgeous!
I'll just quietly say that not all of France is rainy! It's about 30 degrees here with full sun and bright blue sky - sorry!
