Mrs Moneypenny - that sounds like a wonderful idea for a great cause. I wish you good luck with it, and would love to see a photo of the finished result - just 67 more squares to go, so not long then! These links may be helpful?

Hi Chalky - yes, we're all waiting to hear some good news. Elaine is probably at the hospital all the time at the moment. What a dreadful time for her; I just wish we could be there to offer our support in person.
Craftlady - good to hear from you. I'll make a note to take your updates from your sig. I try and update on a Monday nowadays, to give people the weekend to get their totals added, but sometimes circumstances intervene and I am not always on time!

Hoping to get a good knitting night in tonight while I watch Torchwood, I did manage to get 1 bunting finished and another started at my friends last night, and I want to finish a little jumper I have on pins.
A friend of mine gave me a lovely pattern for a boys sleeveless slip-over so I want to have a go at that as well.
Have good days all

Hi Insearchofme
Chalky is right, the hedgies are easy - though I'd never "turned" before they are straightforward. Post if you get stuck, the pattern is here
http://www.barddance.org/knittering/blueshedgehogpattern.htm
and best of all they make you smile when you knit them!
And as you can see by Chalky's collection, they look fab in all colours so don't feel restricted to realistic colours.
If you're feeling adventurous, here is a boob pattern
http://www.geocities.com/earlyangels...oobappeal.html
and again, nobody is worried about "proper" colours - apparently the midwives like the bonkers ones . Top boob tip - cast on and knit a bit loosely which makes the increases a bit easier.
Let us know how you get on
Have just checked the boob link and it doesn't seem to be working - the original link is on post 964 of the thread - page 49 - sorry not sure how to stick a shortcut to it
