have managed to fit in some knitting yesterday and today, just started on my fifth hedgehog in 2 days, when i have finished this one, i'm going to go back to baby items or boobs for shelly, putting off finishing things off, as its the weekend, and i'll have no peace and quiet to concentrate, besides i hate the sewing up lol

hope you feel better soon craftlady

Hi all. I really envy you all knitting and crocheting away! It's really manic here and I can't move for boxes! I'm keeping some knitting out until the last minute and hoping I can get some done before we leave.

S-Michaels - just think of how many people you'll be helping with your knitting. You have better things to do than those horrid people who've been making you feel bad, and you are worth 100 of every single one of them, because you are being generous with both your time and materials. You have a lot to be proud of!

Craftlady - I hope you feel a lot better soon. Take it easy today, please!

Our lovely Prfungi has sent me the amended update list, so I shall be using that on Sunday for our first weekly update! Don't forget that I won't be able to do an update on the following Sunday because we'll be unpacking! With my new ISP being connected on Thursday 26th March, I hope to back up and running the Sunday after that!

I'll catch you all later today - I need these breaks from the chaos of packing!

if its baby clothes i love sewing up.

    S-michael

believe me i am only 28 and i get people taking the mick out of me and saying horrible things but you got to remeber who they will run too when they need something.

i had one girl saying to me that knitting is for old ladies and don't know how i can knit for prem babies and babies that sadly don't survive and guess who she comes running to when her sister lost her baby, ME,

All i can say at least we keep ourselves busy and enjoy what we do.

It's just frustrating, I am glad I am not the only one though and I do enjoy doing it so I am going to be strong and tell them where to go if they keep taking the mick.

    Hi, Everyone,
I have spent the last hour catching up on all your posts, I haven't been on here in a few days, had one of those weeks DS2 had tummy bug at the weekend, flush on the toilet broke on sunday, new heaters being installed on tuesday, not to mention shopping, washing, ironing, the list goes on and on.

All I wanted to do was my knitting:(

Kathy- I don't envy you with all the packing, we moved here two years ago and that was nearly 400 miles and that was bad enough. My thoughts are with you.:happyhear

S michaels- Don't take any notice of other people, if you enjoy knitting thats all that matters. I get funny comments and remarks too and I'm ancient at 36. But knitting relaxes me and lets me switch off to all stresses I have. So have a clap from me for having the courage to carry on knitting:T

I'm off to do a bit of knitting before the school run.
    Take care all.
    Eve.

Go for it girl !! They are not worth bothering about, and just think of the tiny mites you will be helping ( and their parents) while you are enjoying your knitting. It`ll also be good practice for if / when you decide to have tinies of your own - they`ll be the best dressed babes `cos you`ll have had sooooooo much advice / patterns / from all the `surrogate grandmas & aunties` on here :T

    Hi to everyone.
Beat wishes to you all and hope Everyone is well and happy and coping with all the usual vast array that life throws .

S Michaels-- be true to yourself and don't waste a moment of your creativity worrying about what other people think--- That is truly 1 thing I love about being older --- you really become aware of what you need as a person and do't worry what other people think or say

SHEZMIT - I was really grateful when you sent the parcel for the baby in Spain. I am really happy to send you all the boobs I have knitted in return for your kindness. Also busy doing Arron squares cos I can do those without even thinking !!! I return to the UK 10th April so will send them off ASAP after that. Here is a picture of a few of them -- my kids really tease me about these

MIOLIERE- Hope all is progressing well with the move. I am sure you will feel so organised when you get to France after all this sorting !!! Hope wrist is totally better. If you want to take all the Chalky Appeal details off the totals update that is fine with me --- task wonderfully completed-- it might help with the character reduction.

MAYTAURUS--You are an absolute star -- Those pictures of my trip to the mountains made me smile so much

SEE BELOW FOR ACTUAL PHOTOS --I bet we could post pictures of us knitting in some funny places or a picture of us all knitting at the Jamboree at Miolieres -- retreat/spa/therapy clinic etc etc !!

Try and do a good deed every day.

    Hi all
I got the same thing from one of my neighbours who was for ever taking the micky out of me saying all I needed was a rocking chair and how sick it was knitting burial gowns for little angels until one day he told me that his sister in law had just lost a baby at 24wks I think that he see's things a little different now. Who cares what other people think you know the good it will someone somewhere when they need it the most
back to the housework damit
