BEWARE! I just had a call from Teddy Phone, who wanted all my personal details, including my Date of Birth, Bank Details, etc. He said that he didn't have any of these details on hand, and he wanted all details again, so he could send me the Teddy Phone.

This sounds like one of these Banking Scams, where these fraudsters call up asking for all personal details, and then they use these for forgery.

I had to tell this chap that I was not willing to give him my bank details, and when he mentioned that he wouldn't send me the Teddy Phone, I told him to cancel this order. This is long overdue by some months now, and I had forgotten about this.

My little girl and her friend over the road have walkie talkies they love them and can talk for hours with out it costing a fortune and i can call her back if i want her home or she can let me now if she is going to a different freinds house. Anyway maybe i'm a bit over protetive but she wont be going any further than the bottom of our road on her own until she is at least in double figures its just not safe. I feel sorry for the kids really they miss out on so much fun my mom never new where i was and didnt see me all day but they didnt bat an eyelid then.

They called me up-basically they will be charging you line rental for the phone! he tried to send it to me saying he just wanted to confirm details but i said well i'll tell you know because its been 3 months and im not sure if its still needed- he was kind of obliging me to take it- i told him no!

They keep hassling me to give my bank details to them now. They don't like to take no for an answer.

I won't give them my bank details either... I said I'm not intrested and they have still called again a couple of weeks later to make sure!

I saw this in the paper a while back - i dont agree with mobiles for children (My own personal opinion ... all my friend kids aged 8 - 15 have phones).

I emailed the company saying if they made them in different shapes they would be perfect for people with visual problems - my brother is registered blind but has a teeny bit of site but finds using a normal mobile really hard (i bought him a nokia about a year ago that has the biggest button i could find and he struggles to use it but great if he gets stuck anywhere). Would be fab for my mum to secretly check on him (she annoys him by keep ringing him and annoys my dad by paniking while my bro (who is 34) is out!)

I didn't get any response - not even a thank you or a we value your comment type thing you always get.

Just an update on this. We decided to go for the offer in March when we got our call. I have just phoned today to cancel it as it still has not arrived. No money has been taken from our account as we were told it gets taken after the phone has been delivered. However they have no stock and no idea when they will get stock. Our daughter has got fed up waiting so we are now going to look at alternatives.
