Why be so keen to report people???

Seems to be jealously, none of them like paypal but just cos someones getting away with it they'd rather make malicious reports than do something themselves.

It seems obvious in this case the sellers been scammed by paypals limit of £500 and wants to cover his own back.

From samshed's posts he isn't even a seller just a law abiding citizen :)

Thing is while it's unfair that they are exempt from accepting paypal (you can assume so, I know the Dell shop on ebay is) when all the other sellers have to, you can't really blame them because paypal can really mess up and when a lot of money is involved it's a real pain.

What really annoys me is that ebay say that paypal is there for buyer's protection, yet it's so open to fraud, and a good seller who follows all the paypal rules for seller protection can still get it in the neck.
I almost got suspended back along for allowing buyers from Germany to buy my items (didn't know it was illegal -- but then what has ebay got to do with worlwide laws), yet someone like this http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=smronline1&ftab=AllFeedback&sspagename=STRK:ME:UFS still gets powerseller and all the tralala and is still allowed to sell just because he is a high volume seller. I have had 5430 feedbacks in the last year, all positive apart from 4 neutrals (usually "thanks" feedbacks). How is it justified that he gets 140 negs in the same amount of feedbacks and get away with it ? Also I reported him for circumvention of fees because he was charging twice the P&P I charge for the same items and sell his for cheaper with higher P&P, which is un-reasonable knowing how much P&P would cost him, ebay did nothing about it -- Ebay seems to have its own favourites, and to protect them, when smaller sellers can go wrong and get the boot so easily !
    Sorry -- rant over !

All this is what's so depressing about eBay: illiterate listings, inarticulate sellers, absurd terms and conditions. . .

    Yet people still buy.

The PowerSeller who desperately attempts to finesse the PayPal payment situation also has this little gem in his T&Cs:

7 days return policy only item is faulty. If no fault found, buyer will be charged £25 for redelivery fee

Well, there ya go: the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 apply to every business in the UK. . . but not to him. He has a special exemption.

The question isn't how he manages to get away with it, but how come the UK's education system has managed to fail so epically over so many years that it's now the case that for every moronic seller on eBay, there are probably ten times that number of moronic buyers.

I admire individuals like soolin for their determination to help make eBay a safer place for the naive newbie. But as time goes it becomes ever more obvious that an increasing number of eBay users who, when they see a huge oncoming truck, just have to step out in front of it.

Seller's had a slapping. . . but is still pretty grudging about PayPal -- £25 for Next Day delivery, but not next day if paid by Paypal.

    What a berk.

No items for sale today. Maybe they got pulled again, or maybe the seller gave up with ebay. I am guessing pulled auctions
    Be nice

I'm thinking pulled, too. Perhaps until February 20th. Still can't see why this daft seller seems determined to make such hard work of it.
