Big seller not accepting paypal
Comments

            Debsy, they say..
PLEASE DO NOT make payment before discussing PAYMENT METHOD otherwise your order WILL NOT be processed
which quite clearly means, paypal will be refunded.
Nex0, who else are you referring to? They havent "clearly upset someone" as nobody had reported them yet.
Soo, I reckon that they probably sell items outside of ebay hence the "contact us prior to payment" splashed all over their auctions.Be nice0 -

How do I know who there are?
When they were actually listed as auctions rather then buy it nows the bids that were on them were well over the odds.0 -
            lol, crossed wires.
I was pretty certain that the listings were auctions, and that there were no stupid bidding activities. Perhaps you saw a different listing to me, as I only looked properly after you said about upsetting somebody.
Who knows, I only saw auctions, but perhaps they did quickly change them to all auctions.Be nice0 -
Talking about the above, how about these:

Not accepting Paypal but displaying pp logo
I reported them to eBay and nothing seems to happen. Either seller has really lost the closed auction voucher, or eBay have pulled it.0 -
You can report as 'potentially fraudulent listing', 'seller requires unsafe payment methods'0

            Found this on the net:

Looks like its easy for fraudsters BUYING items to use PayPals £500 fraud limit so the seller might be protecting themselves for the high PayPal fees and also the £500 fraud limit and also credit card chargebacks.
He has been around quite a while and selling computers during the past 3 months visible activity (items drop off the system after 3 months) and even then he was stating 'contact us before paying'.
Perhaps as a powerseller he has to list PayPal as a payment method or its a default method as a business seller? Not sure, but if he does not want to accept it then I suppose he doesn't have to but it would be easier not to list it as an option.
They have sold 28 out of 74 listings in the past 15 days so people are still willing to buy from them.
If in doubt DONT BUY!0 -
Having to use PayPal is a real pain. I sell low value items and it makes it hardly worthwhile after PP have taken their cut. I wish more sellers would refuse PP. I think I might next year too.0

They take credit cards, much safer than paypal.
I thought people with mechanct accounts were exempt from the paypal only rule/blatent money grab?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"
"i sent a letter headded sales of god act 1979"0 -
There will be a report this auction option near the foot of the auction page.
I don't think there is anyone working at ebay at the moment though as I reported a blatantly fraudulent auction about 3 days ago and it is still there.
Why be so keen to report people???"Love you Dave Brooker! x"
