Hilton Lifts were fine!!! Longest had to wait was about 10 mins? Think I found the answer - we were on 23rd floor of 24!!! If you pressed BOTH buttons then one came quicker! Top Tip!!!

    Anybody got anymore??

Another one of the most recent display - found it impossible to take photos inside as it was sooooo crowded when we went...OK, it doesn't look that crowded here, but inside, it really was...big tour group and everything!

This is still my favorite one of ours I think.

I also really love the butterfly house ones - I was so excited about that when I read about it here and it was really cool to see when we were there last...only thing that would have made it better is if you could go inside the house. :)

I take it you have checked prices with netflights, kayak and opodo? Our flights are almost £100pp more booking direct with United compare with netflights.

AA were showing our flights at £575 and they are now £618.

I checked a few but most of the 3rd parties don't seem to allow us to choose all of the specific flights we want (it's a multi-city journey) - so while it will show us options, none allow for the combination we're looking at. I did eventually figure out that it was the LAS->ORD leg of the return journey that was throwing things out for some reason (that leg on our intital return date priced on its own is way, way more than normal)...so planning on routing through DFW instead I think...or staying an extra day...or both. :)

    MGM West Wing Room

This is exactly why I'm worried we're spoiled with room size at Bally's and why I'm worried about trying anywhere else...it's a perfectly nice room, don't get me wrong, but seems so small to me...am I looking at it correctly? That to the right hand size of the picture is one wall, and to the left is another (probably the wall between the bed area and the bathroom)? Is the window on the right hand wall, or behind where you're standing? I only ask because sometimes good deals for MGM crop up but room size is a big thing for us.

I'd look at the Riviera (next door to CircusCircus) or the Orleans (off strip but with a free very frequent shuttle that drops you off mid strip by Bill's) rather than Circus Circus. Just as cheap but nicer.
The Riv has a weird semi automated check in so it's impossible to try the $20 trick but I got upgraded there from a standard cheapie room booked with Priceline to a massive one bedroom suite-Didn't even ask !
The Orleans I've never tried as all the standard rooms are the same and all huge compared with most Strip rooms-I just have always asked for high floor in their newer tower and always got it. The only other rooms there are suites.

FunkyFin that room looks TINY !! I'd heard the West wings rooms were smaller-but wow !

yeah guys that is the West Wing Room. The width is left to right. The Only window was the one above the bed, The bath room was on the left as you came in. Just Loo and Shower of course.

TBH it didn't both us at all, It would have been nice to have a bath but it honestly didn't bother us, but could see how it could if you like larger rooms. The largeness of MGM didn't worry us either. OK it was a long way to the pool, through Casino and Shops etc etc

We also got the hang of the layout within a day! :)

Will post more pics of rooms if you like later!

After much searching, I thought I had it sorted - 6 nights (14th to 20th June) flying from Manchester staying in the Encore as a birthday and anniversary treat for me and my OH. The price...... £1369 until I put my credit card details in and it jumped to in excess of £2800!!! Anyone know if this is common with Expedia - also, any advice on finding a cheaper price??? Any help is appreciated
