Acutally, looking at the Bally's room pictures here:

    http://www.vegascasinoinfo.com/hotelrm_pics.html

Is a good example of why we like to stay there - it's a north tower room (so one of the refurbished ones) but it's massive...we've gotten so used to the space that we're afraid other hotels will seem too small. We keep thinking about Paris, but flipping between Paris and Bally's I am certain we would be disappointed with Paris.

MGM booked! Well it would have been rude not to.

Hope I remember to tell hubby first thing in the morning before he reads his emails and sees the confirmation! Even if he thinks it's a bad idea, it's easily cancelled (I think... Do you cancel by email or by phone and which email address or phone number? Ah well, will worry about that if I need to).

If you look at the main MGM Grand page, top left is "My booking" click there, enter your reservation number and your email address and that will take you to a page you can cancel your booking. You get an instant email confirmation.

  • Hi all

I booked the MGM using the link and they emailed me a reservation number, however when I imput this in to there site it says can't find. Can anyone give me an email to get them on or should I just reply to the reservation email. Also I registered ages ago for the players club but lost my players number is there any way of getting it back without calling them

    Cheers

I'm not sure they would give you the number by phone - they're pretty strict with security and in a lot of cases you have to be physically present with ID for them to talk to you...also, depending on how long ago you registered and how long ago you last used your card your account may no longer be in their system so it may be better to sign up again.

I tried to re register but I'm still on their system. Might just leave it till we get there. Does anyone have an e-mail contact I could use.

Glad you enjoyed your stay there and at the end of the day thats all that matters! I think you might have enjoyed the Venetian as well (though your wallet might not have agreed!).

I'm not sure tbh, we have stayed in some very nice and very expensive hotels , and while there are very nice , with hindsight they havent made that much of a difference to the holiday .

i read reviews on IP that slated it and others who said much the same as I have , yes the lifts are slow ........some evenings we had to wait as much as 10 minutes for one lol , the casino is dark and smokey , but we dont gamble lol so didnt stay there .

Of all the hotels we looked round the Mandalay looked the nicest , it had a lovely pool area ( fine if you are going longer then a weekend ) , but it was a long way down the strip .

If you want to go up market then the Bellagio is in a good position .

We looked round the Venetian , its huge ..........though i think I have been put off itfor life after going to watch Phantom , what a pile of poo that was .

I still stand by my original post , i would rather spend my money on an upgraded flight and stay somewhere cheaper ............this only applies when the location is good btw , normally cheap means a long way from where you want to be ,.......if the Mandaly and IP swap places , then i would stay at the Mandalay lol

    MGM Grand from $49/ night
    promo name: Player’s Club Escape
description: Double Rooms from $49, Offer is for Players Club Card members only

I think I might have to cancel our reservation at The Stratosphere as I can get the same two nights here for $161 which is $50 more but probably worth it. However, on the MGM booking system I can't book for two children (aged 10 and 13) as it only allows you to have one child. If I book my eldest in as an adult the cost shoots up to $217 which seems unfair when we are talking about a 13 year old. So, what do I do, any suggestions. I am going to email the hotel direct and ask if having two children in the room is a problem, but I was wondering if anyone here has experienced this.

    Thanks for any advice.
