Unless the pyramid rooms have been renovated since we stayed there (Pyramid Spa Suite), I cannot see that they would compare to the Augustus Tower on any level...that said, like others when we stayed at Luxor we only wanted to stay in the pyramid. I'm one that thinks that the pyramid rooms are dark and worn BUT I think that staying in the pyramid is just something that needs to be done - at least it was for us. The tower rooms are said to be a lot nicer overall, but to my mind, I can stay in a tower room anywhere...only Luxor gives me the option to stay in a pyramid.
Ferf we have never stayed in the pyramid and are thinking about it in march, how bad/good are the rooms, although I am thinking it is something we really have to do as this will really be out last trip for a good few years!

At each mall mentionned, ask for the Discount Booklet at Customer Services.....most shops give something like an extra 10% off.

The outlet discount is how much they give over their regular shops eg Coach may be 50% off their regular shops.

do we have to print this off and take it to the customer service?

They aren't bad - they're just a bit dark we thought (and many agree, though others like stoneman don't - so quite relative)...the fact that you've got strongly tinted glass and then the angle of the walls cuts out some of the light you would have in other rooms...the furniture was a bit worn, but again, nothing tragic but we did notice and we aren't very picky...we loved having the spa tub in the room without question - that was great. It wasn't a hotel we would look to stay in again but that was just our preference...the other thing is that any hotel with that many rooms is likely to have some in better shape than others...ours wasn't bad by a long stretch and it was cool to stay in the pyramid...just isn't our preference to stay there again.

I've got a $10 cash-out voucher for PH if anyone is going soon wants it. It's not much, but I'd hate to see it go to waste.

anyone out there next week or week after!

Going to check out the RIO and now the last attraction from the list above, 'Shark Reef'

The hotels seem to be inundating people with email's at present,After you have booked! Rio 3 email's this week offering upgrades so presume this is all of Harrah's group $20 per night, I will wait and try the $20 trick, so if the email's are anything to go by I will have a quiet time.

Will try the destinationcoupons thanks Froggitt

So a couple of days in Rio and then over to the Mand-Bay

Stoneman, where did you put the cases, from memory there wasnt any space other than on the floor, ie nothing to put them under or in, so they were out of the way.

    ps
looks like you may have used one of the beds, which is no good if you are using both beds.
From memory we put our casses on the floor which is where we always have to no matter what hotel we stay in. That case you can see on the bed is just my roll alongs from the flight. We have 3 cases that carry about 60lbs. each in them so you can imagine how much room they take up, not to mention the golf clubs. We do always ask for twin beds though, we prefer to lay our clothes out on the spare bed rather than hanging.

Most of the casinos have a time limit on redeeming the ticket out of about 30 days from issue.

Have comfortable shoes on as it's amazingly far to walk to Shark Reef - we had read that it was a long walk and were still surprised at just how long it was. :) It's a cool attraction if you haven't been to quite a modern aquarium before but it's smaller than it looks on the map they give you - so take your time...we rushed a bit as it looked bigger than it was and were surprised when we got to the end. If you have been to a nice, modern aquarium it's a bit of a disappointment - at least it was for me.

Yes I was under impressed with it as well. A Lot of money to spend for about an hour or so in an aquarium.
