it's kind of like instant messenger - if one of your contacts is online on skype you can see it and you can call them more or less by clicking on them and clicking call.

My in-laws use it to speak to my brother-in-law in Australia...it's been a great money-saver for both.

Nice....can you use a webcam with it?

Yes you can, quite good quality too. I don't use Skype myself but a work colleague uses it all the time to speak to friends and relatives in Spain, Australia and UK.

I get free international calls through my Livebox on Orange broadband. Can't use a webcam but won't complain as it's free.

We tipped to get an upgrade, got a mini suite, (they don't upgrade to Go rooms by tipping) then paid again to get out of it, didn't like it at all. I don't know but think most of them are in need of updating, ours did anyway. Anyway, I like the idea of a fur coat and no knickers.;)

Well famous last words-latest special offer has GO rooms for the same price as deluxe for our stay-so obviously I upgraded it. Have no problem with fur coat & no knickers so long as I'm not paying extra for it ;) Will probably see if $20 or $40 will get us a strip view at check in. (4 night stay so I'm leaning towards $40 -especially as we won't arrive til 11pm-ish)

The link is https://www.harrahs.com/MakeReservat...3OZLN-GF3MH-v1 for bookings til end of april. We're paying $75/75/44/44 for Easter.

Also Juicy Couture great discounts, especially if you use the Discount Passport on top eg blingy pink leather bag less was than $100 with retail $349ish. It was Discount Passport discount on top of winter sale discount on top of outlet discount. Bargain.

The Hollister there doesnt have any stuff (or didnt) with Hollister plastered across the front......these things mean a lot to kids!!!

Whats the outlet discount and the discount passport ? Can you give me some info on them please ?

Just booked flights to LA for 24 August, returning 9 September - hubby, me, 25, 20 and 18 yr old boys. Older two haven't been on family hols recently but all want to come on the USA trip. In 1990, we stayed in the Hacienda (I think) which has long gone replaced by Luxor (?). We have also stayed at Circus Circus and Excalibur which was what or budget would allow at the time. Looking to 'upgrade' thsi time but woudl like best deal if we can. We want to stay on the strip - MGM seems to have good reviews (but then again, so do loads of others). We're not big gamblers (well, not at all really) but just love the atmosphere of LV.

We have been to LV 4 times over a period of 20 years (kids obviously much younger) but haven't been for 5 years. Definately on the itinerary this time which is why I have started looked at the forum. Wow!! So much information - may have to give up the day job to read all this and spend my time looking for best deals!!! LOL.

Just thought I'd thank all you folks for taking the time to post here. Much appreciated. I will start trawling through and thank as I go but I am now sooooooooo excited!! Can't wait!!!!

Thats a good price for a go room. I have two reservations about the go room though.
    1. there is no space for your cases in a 2 queen room.
    2. most go rooms only have a shower and I like to relax in the "tub"

If you want a fountain view you are best to get a room in the corner facing ballys.
most of the rooms overlooking CP have a toni braxton poster over the windows (at least they did last year)which I didnt like as it makes the room dark

At each mall mentionned, ask for the Discount Booklet at Customer Services.....most shops give something like an extra 10% off.

The outlet discount is how much they give over their regular shops eg Coach may be 50% off their regular shops.

We used these in Nov for the first time and we did save quite a bit at the 2 outlet malls (top and bottom of strip). It was really easy to get the booklet at the desk and we even handed them over with some sale items that shouldn't have been discounted and they reduced the price anyway, so always best to play dumb ;)

Hey guys :) How are you all?

Been a long time since I was posting on this forum. I got way too addicted to Vegas after my month there in the summer! Best time I've ever had!

So the poker player I went with and I have agreed to go again the summer of 2010 (about June, just after the world series but before schools break up...)

Shame to find out Virgin have cut Vegas flights from Manchester. Being in Leeds that may cause some problems!

We stayed at Imperial Palace last time. Got a REALLY good deal and since the refurbishment, the hotel is VERY good and I 100% well recommend it for a bed. Saying that in order for variety, we want to go somewhere different.

So any recommendations on flights/accomodation - in terms of when we should look and what we should look for ^-^

Hopefully the exchange rate will be better ;)

    Hi all,

Visiting Vegas in June and cannont wait!!

Just a couple of questions, we're off in early June and wanting to stay at the MGM Grand. Upon searching around the best price we can find is the standard rate on the MGM website, does anyone know of anywhere doing this hotel for cheaper at all please and is it best to book now or hold on for deals etc?

Secondly we're after an internal flight from NY to Vegas, the best price we've found is $159 for a weekend, is this a decent rate or are there cheaper around? If so where please?

    Thank you
