Is samsung a good tv make i have my eyes on 50inch plasma

There is quite a long thread on AVFORUMS about the very same 50" Samsung TV with a lot satisfied users. Best bet is to see the TV working, look at it from the same viewing distance as you would at home. Have them show different sources, standard def TV, DVD & Blueray etc then make your mind up.

I've had this tv just over 2 years now and i've never had any problems with it whatsoever.

Now got blu ray and 360 elite hooked up to it and the picture quality on both is just amazing.

We've found the sound on it to be far better than other makes, so i'd definitely recommend this tv.

But dont rush into anything, go looking around first, try different shops and read up on the choices....

As it happens I've just ordered the PS50A457P1DXXU 50" plasma from Argos as they are giving a 3 year warrenty with it for £679.99 + £5.80 delivery. Only downside is its upto 21 days for delivery.

I did order it from Dixons yesterday along with a home cinema sound system but they cancelled the order today saying item not it stock. That was annoying as the sound system was discounted when purchased with the TV. When I checked the dixons website again, both items were listed in stock but the discount offer was removed grrrr.
