Well done for believing the doom mongers!!!

It's minus 7 celcius where I am (Midlands). The doom mongers said Global Warming was here to stay!

But to remain on topic with the board: I wonder how many will be forced to choose between paying their mortgage or the heating bill?

:p

Bluddy freezing here on the cliff above the sea. I am waiting for Gen to post some more sunny pics....just to make us feel better.;)

OH had a rare afternoon off and spent the day cutting up logs and twigs in the huge, overgrown rented lower garden; a huge chunk is fenced off.

Got the coal and twig fire roaring right now and Mr Ginger cat asleep infront of it. Mortgage and rent always first (as I do both).

Shop been busy last 2 days...people looking for coats...and we've nearly sold out (non sale too). Had we known the cold snap was coming, would have stocked up but it was mild a week ago.

Doh! I thought this was about the financial doom mongers!

Even the 'experts' who believe in global warming have said their will be 'blips' along the way, haven't they?

Global Warming is the much more palatable 'cover story' for resource depletion. I wonder when the mainstream media are going to cotton on ? Behind the scenes the governments are starting to panic a little I think, does anyone seriously think the reason we are spending millions putting wind turbines up in all corners of the land and sea is because it is going to get a bit warmer here, and perhaps Bangladesh will be under 2 feet of water ?

Why not build them all in bandladesh then at least in a couple of years they'll be all off-shore. And it must be a whole lot easier to build them on dry land, and let the land flood over than to build them out in the North Sea. Good bit cheaper aswell. ;)

Or perhaps they could just build them in Manchester and flood Lancashire. :D

It's no secret that oil/coal/gas is running out, of course governments are panicking!

And yeah bitterly cold in Oldham this morning :(
