Also, DH has got a laptop from work for few months as he is on Project Support these days, so we have postponed the purchase on the new laptop...

And I have talked him out of the Telly and PS3 as then we won't get much time to spend with each other... ;). Also we may have to replace our bedroom furniture soon so Telly and PS3 will have to wait. :money:

I am monitoring the exchange rate for £ to INR and am pleased that I didn't exchange when the rate was 76(was very tempted though) as it is 79 now... I am going to wait till next week to see if it crosses 80 and then will transfer £5000.

I never knew I had these many clothes... Have 34 summer outfits in total and 10 summer jackets/ MACs and 18 pairs of shoes and they all fit so I don't think, I will be needing any more clothes this year:money:

Also as they have all been arranged as outfits so for the first time in my life, I am not spending half an hour in the morning deciding about what to wear and what coordinates with what.:j

Things at grocery front have been good this month and we have spent £91 till now in June... We are trying to use up stuff that we already have and I have done meal planning this month...:money:

    Thats it from me...

    Take care everyone...

You should try and have a NSY - a no spend year - on clothes;)

Well done on the grocery bill:T:T

    Good luck & Kind Regards

    SMF2

SMF2, I think it can be another challenge, from today to 23rd June 2010... Lets see if I can do it or not... I will be listing the unwanted clothes (Have got 2 bags) on Ebay this weekend and will only spend the money earned from that, so if I don't earn anything, then no spend... Though I have 3 weddings to attend this year... so lets see how long I can do this for. I will add this to my signature

MB has been quiet these days... so no extra income

I have been reading about Mystery Shopping for the last couple of days and have finally registered on one website today... So I and DH are eating out day after tomorrow ;)

I have submitted energy readings today and we are consuming 5 KWH / day for leccy and 6 KWH/ day for gas... so good savings there :j

I have made the final payment for DH's 0% credit card today as the promotional period is ending next week...

I will update this month's balances update on Sunday...

I note you say you have summer clothing, now, forgive me but during the next twelve months I think you'll find winter may show up (although let's hope milder than the last) or will you spend that time in India?

Your low spending puts ours to shame - well done!

Hi Stuart, I had packed all the winter outfits away last month so forgot to mention them.. Haven't counted them , but I think I have atleast 15 jumpers/ 3-4 woollen trousers and 3-4 winter coats + 1 water proof down jacket + 2 winter boots + lots of scarves

So hopefully I will manage

I wish we could go to India this year but we generally go during the Indian Festive season(Oct-Nov) but DH's parents won't be in India at that time:sad:

    Hi,

As you can see from the pervious post the grocery spend is £115 so £15 more than the budget. But we spent £16 on a eat out for which I will be reimbursed by the Mystery Shopping Company (My first Mystery Shop ever) so effectively we are under budget this month :j

I have registered at 3 more MS Companies more today and am waiting to hear from them. Not sure if I will be accepted as I haven't done a MS before..

    2 didn't have a requirement in my area :-(

I have enjoyed my first MS though it will just be a reimbursement and no extra payment

Lets see if I get any good ones in future...

Our 6.3% Cash ISAs fixed rate is coming to an end at the end of this month, so I have applied for a 5% Newcastle BS Fixed rate ISA for me today. Will do the same for DH tomorrow. I think the transfer will take 3-4 weeks during which we will get 1% at our existing provider. I really should have done this few weeks ago.. but I have been lazy...

I have done quite a lot of Overtime last month and this month. As it was the project delivery month, I have been on call a lot so June's salary is much more than normal. Well £6247.8(total of salaries for both of us) :j

But this was the last project delivery of this year so no more OT this year
