    Hello MQ :hello:

I've joined the Flyladies. Now I don't seem to have the time to post on my own MFW thread! Hope to see you over there.

Hope you are keeping well and not working too hard :rotfl:

    Catch up soon.

    Floxxie,

I may not officially join Flylady thread, as I fall off the band wagon so many times that it actually becomes embarassing after sometime
I wish I could do everything I generally promise myself/ others on MSE.But laziness runs in the family ;)

Another news - DH has decided that he wants a telly again as he doesn't know how to spend time when I an busy with MSE - and he wants a >40" LCD/ Plasma one . That would mean £12 TV License Fee also every month. Oh well !

He has been working really hard at work these days so I think he deserves this treat.
Also I have got a very good appraisal this year so hopefully will get a good bonus in few months time.

On the plus side, I have done lots of cooking after a long time, so lunches sorted for the next week :o

It's on the Old Style Moneysaving forum. (Sorry no good at putting the link on here!) You're given a list of cleaning tasks on a daily basis and hopefully by following them you have a beautiful clean and tidy house.

MQ, I've officially joined so I can be publically humiliated - not that anybody notices except me. I have no idea how they manage to get it all done. They must either be super efficient or have small houses :rotfl:And as for your apparent laziness - no way - do you two ever stop working/making money!!

As for your OH wanting a TV; this is what my OH got last year (as well as a DVD recorder!). He used his bonus and his award (think it was £200 in vouchers). Of course I had to make sure that I had used all the available cashback and discount codes. He even went down to a local shop to try and negotiate but in the end it was cheaper getting it online. Managed to save £300 and get £20ish in cashback.

Well done on getting lots of cooking done (you've just reminded me of my failed attempt at the grocery challenge). M-i-L has bought us an organic, free-range chicken so will be cooking that. Saved us quite a few pounds.

    Happy shopping and cleaning.

Kazvinny, Here is the link for the flylady thread incase you have not found it yet

Floxxie, OS Board always amazes me. They all are Domestic Goddesses. I wish I could be one.

I think I am okay as long as I don't have to move my !!!! so never really get tired of reading MSE forums. But when it comes to housework.......:rolleyes::rolleyes: TBH I don't mind a bit of clutter(I like it that way) but DH always wants a spotless house. He does do his bit so I can't really complain

I will be buying the TV from John Lewis only as they give 5 years warranty and also I have always been happy with their customer service. DH also wants a PS3 though... so this is going to cost atleast £1100. I will surely check any vouchers/ cashback available. JL is not on Quidco anymore which is a shame as last time I used them, they were offering 9% cashback..though not sure if it was the same for electricals

Enjoy your chicken - We always have organic eggs and this time they were not any left in ASDA so had to buy non organic free range - but I just couldn't eat them - there was a strange smell/ taste. Probably we have got used to the organic ones... Once we are MF, we are going to buy everything organic

btw, could you finally get your GB/PB accounts opened again? Read about it few days ago. It is a shame that such a terrible thing heppened with Under-the-thumb

DH's parents have gone to the States to be with his sister and won't be returning till the year end so we are not going to India this year which means we can use the funds for a good holiday so I am going to look at some good deal and book one soon. Only issue is that DH needs a visa for everywhere which means he has to send his passport by post so we can't take advantage of any last minute deals. Oh well

    Take care everyone.

Pigsback are giving 2points/£ for John Lewis if that helps? ~1150pts piggiepoints will get you a £10 voucher. Not nearly as good as 9% though...

    Hi taka,

Thanks for the tip. I had not thought about this. I can exchange the points for amazon vouchers which I am collecting at the moment for a new Le Creuset Shallow pan that I want/ Need

We will decide on the telly first and then see if they will price match with any local store. If they don't then will order online through Pigsback or quidco/ TCB if it is back by then

    Hi MQ,

Highly recommend ipoints which should have 2% for John Lewis (you can check cashback sites on cashbackguide.org) I collected John Lewis vouchers from Pigsback and then used those online (you just scratch off the silver bit for the code)

Did email PB but to no avail and then found yesterday that my GB is still open. Have put a very small amount of money in and will bet it through next weekend to see what happens. It was really awful finding out that your account had been closed because of what somebody else had done.

I can't wait to be MF so we can be completely organic. It would be even better to have our own small holding! :rotfl:Mmm, think I shall wait until the children are a little older.

Anyway, your figures are looking great. The 'debt' is reducing so quick! Do you think you could make the difference in MBing by the end of the year? ;)
