I had NSD no.4 on Wednesday, and no.5 today. Yesterday I took a book back to Waterstones as it was a duplicate present - but spent the refund money on a different one :o Also needed to get some other bits and bobs though, so that was ok.

    DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!
Proud to have dealt with my debts!
  • Another NSD for me today so that makes 4 now!

Am someone else surprised at the times I dip into my purse - this challenge is really making me think about what I'm spending the money on - I'm keeping a spending diary to keep track and the NSD entries make me feel sooooo good!

Here's to at least another 6 this month

Yep, am also surprised how much I actually get my purse out to buy milk or something else I wouldn't normally think about - have had 3 NSDs today so far and doubt I'll have another one until at least Monday. Did my monthly report on spendingdiary.com today and found I've already spent £80.33 since 1st Jan - only £8.83 on food, £28.96 on eating out (although some of that was a celebratory engagement dinner!), £21.68 on alcohol.... I can see from this exactly where I need to cut down so it's great to have.

Out for Pizza Express 2 for 1 today, then to the cinema tomorrow (but we have 2 Cineworld gift vouchers so if we bring snacks from home that might be a free day, we'll see)

Yeah it is. It's brilliant! Best one yet. I just finished it. :D

My daughter made me read the first one before we went to see the film and then I've read the other three books whilst I've been poorly sick.

If you haven't already seen in, Stephenie Meyer started re-writing Twlight but from Edward's point of view, then it leaked onto the internet and she stopped. However she has put the manuscript up online so everyone can read it - it's great to read because it gives you a different perspective of the story, and makes you feel Edward's pain even more.

You can read it here: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf.html, and read more about it here: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsun.html - you can't print it unfortunately.

    It's well worth a read!

  • Please can I join too. I have been lurking for what seems like forever but never been brave enough to join anything. I have already had 5 NSDs 1-7th Jan but then went spending on 8th and the 9th! I think I am going to go for 14 this month.

I am not counting bills or direct debits or petrol/parking when it is to go to work.
Everything else is included - I spend way too much on food.
