I don't think the person above wrote the required amount to make it an 'extended review'.
I just got $2 for a first review. I just read the paypal announcement saying that people who request more than once are slowing it down - I have already requested twice:eek: , i'm making the third time (later tonight) my last.0 -
I don't believe this to be real
132 reviews, OMG you're fast!
Thanks for the other links, I'll look them up too.Got rid of all my credit card debt, reduced crazy utilities bills, learned to budget, and now trading down to a smaller property. Lurking around the DIY forum.0 -
just been to site and it says its not paying for reviews anymore.
As of this writing our system currently holds almost 260,000 review ratings. The system also holds 20,000 reviews. Some quick math will tell you that each review has an average of 13 ratings. Certainly that should tell you that something isn’t working right!
At this time it is my unfortunate duty to inform you all that we have had to cancel the Review Ratings bounty payment. It is obvious to us that a large number of users are abusing the system and rating reviews without ever even reading the review itself. This leaves us with a dilemma. Do we comb through every review rating to determine which ones are valid and which are not? Or do we just delete the whole mess and start over?
Unfortunately for those of you who were rating member reviews in good faith the abusers have overwhelmed our system’s capability of handling the spam. As a result we will not be making any payments for review ratings alone. In fact, we have deleted all review ratings from our system. Many of you will notice the negative effect that this has had on your earnings at ComparedBy.Us but let me assure you that you will still be paid for the reviews and the referrals that you have submitted. Assuming of course that you are not one of the spammers.
This was a difficult decision for us to make. However, it is one we felt that we had to make in order to ensure that ComparedBy.Us and its legitimate members can survive. We are struggling mightily to cope with the huge influx of spam, plagiarism and cheaters who see ComparedBy.Us as a way to make some quick, easy money. Obviously, we cannot afford to pay out good money for the huge amount of spam that has been entered into our system. If we did, we wouldn’t be around for very long. We wholeheartedly intend to make ComparedBy.Us a successful community that rewards its contributing members on a regular basis. To do that we have to guard against those users who attempt to game the system.
I want to assure everyone that we WILL pay out the review payments for extended, quick and first reviews by January 20th. If you have submitted well written, unique and helpful reviews you WILL be paid.
As of now all review ratings have been removed from our system and review ratings are no longer eligible for bonus payments. The review rating module is still available for use and we are working on a plan to integrate it back into the Member Incentive Plan in a meaningful way. Watch this spot for an upcoming blog post that will ask you guys how you think you should be rewarded for rating other members reviews.

What do you mean?

Yeah I've been doing online reviews for 2 months now as a sideline and hav gotten pretty quick. On Dooyoo my rate per hour works out at around £5 and compareby is abou £10 an hour. It's all going into my debt clearing a wife gift funds so none of it comes to me in a way but it's all good.0 -
I never knew such things existed thats well cool getting paid to review stuff!0

No you can't post reviews from other sites.
As the OP of this thread I feel a bit responsible, but I have had 4 or 5 emails back and forth from the owner and it does seem like they are genuinely in the opening stages of setting up a proper review site and (in an already competitive area) are offering the best rate for now to get it going.
I have made £200 and am going to hold off now until I get paid as today's blog posts about delayed payments and no pay for rating have got me a little worried! I will post here if and when I get paid and then we will all know for sure!0 -
They have just disabled the ability to post new reviews due to technical difficulties with the site and hope to have it sorted by Monday. Annoying as I had just reached $19.50 and was looking forward to seeing if they actually pay out!0
