Miss-Spent , I can't see me ever spending that much on a handbag but obviously if someone wanted to spend that on me who am I to argue! ...- I think it would be plain rude of you to refuse it !!!

Mis-spent:
£50 for a handbag thats leather, designer, shiny and makes your heart go 'ooooh' is well worth it, you'll keep it for years and a designer handbag gives you that little spring in your step when you walk.....and boy do people notice and pay compliments when you got a lovely bag!!!!
It'd probably be fair to say that there's not many handbags in my collection which are under £50 and I love em all!!! Now heres my little confession (she checks over shoulder to check OH isn't around) Occassionally, only occassionally mind you, if i'm going somewhere dead posh, weddings, parties etc, I'll hire a handbag-wow to have a handbag thats worth £2,000, now thats a feeling-gucci, prada, ysl, jimmy choo all for just £50 for one whole monthI love it, is it any wonder I'm in debt???
Still haven't spent since my £10.28 bargains so dead impressed with myself-also been offered another job and OH wants me to take it purely so I cant go out at lunchtimes and spend as its in the prison!!! decisions ,decisions...theres alot of pros and cons to consider.
take care and good luck all

Now i'm not really a handbag person but one caught my eye in a local, independent shop. It was large, red and shiny with a big bow on it. It stuck in my mind and so I took OH to have another look thinking that if it wasn't too expensive my boys could buy it for me for Mother's Day.
Turns out is was a Bulgari and cost £50. OH offered to buy it but I told him that under no conditions was anyone to spend that much money on a handbag.
Trouble is........did I do the right thing??
I also think if you are concered about the amount for someone else to spend on you , why not pay half yourself , as if you pay £25.00 that would be like a nice treat and get your sons or other half to pay the other £25.00 plus you will get the feeling of it being a special present from someone , which will give extra comfort to your bank balance too!! ???
Anyway ive ventured into treating myself yesterday for the first time this year and spent £6.00 on a jumper ...yes a jumper for £6.00 and it has a free belt !! not sure i will wear the belt thow } ..so had to grab it in the sale ....off to update sig no..see ya soon folks !!;)Ebay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin

Hi all - how's everyone doing?
I'm afraid I need my total changing again Lula-hula! I went to a charity shop on Saturday and bought:
A BNWT Monsoon skirt for £6
A vintage 70s shirt dress for £4
A French Connection wrap blouse for £3.50
The skirt sadly doesn't fit right, so will be going on ebay, so don't know whether that still counts? But the dress fits like a dream. I'm undecided on the wrap-top yet...
What are your thoughts on the skirt - will you be deducting £13.50 from me or just £7.50?
I recently moved into a new place and as a housewarming my brother and his missus bought me a fabulous book about style in the 1940s. It's got loads of "make do and mend" leaflets in - how to make a girl's dress from an old housecoat, a swimsuit from flannels (!), etc - it's brilliant! Now I really want to set up a local make-do and mend group but don't know how to start! Anyone know of anything similar?
Oh - and Congratulations Yorkshire Chick! :j
