I have sent a jumper to the charity shop (to recycle) as it has died an honourable death.
It cost £10 originally, I think I wore it more in the last 2 months than I did in the previous 2 years
As well as saving me money AND saving me wasting time loitering in clothes shops AND making me realise what I do wear & don't wear (OK, I've finally recognised the 20%:80% ratio theory is true!) this challenge means I can now 'kill off' all the nearly dead bits & pieces in the wardrobe:rolleyes: .I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
It's a great feeling to wear something out. Unless you really love it in which case you wish you had bought two of them! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Hi, I know I haven't officially joined but I have become very shop aware. I went to M & S with my trusty vouchers (£100 worth) and all I bought was a £5 pair of sunglasses. I saw a lovely pink jacket but at £50 it seemed so expensive and even 'nice' work dresses were £30 plus.
I have decided that I will wait another month until I have had my colour analysis done and lost a bit more weight0 -
Hi everyone, I need to confess again. I bought another T-shirt yesterday - I really did need T-shirts! I spent £5.90 on it and although its nice and I'll wear it loads that seems really expensive now!
I've also been altering stuff, so far I've turned one badly fitting dress into a well fitting top. This is really my motivation for joining this challenge - I want to learn to at least make basic alterations to clothes and ideally I'd like to be able to make my own.0 -
Miss-spent,
doesnt matter if you think you're not official ( in my mind you are) if you're thinking more about what you spend that's brilliant, keep posting & telling us what you are / not spending on :A
thoroughlybrokemillie - I am truly impressed with you :A there'a section at the back of the book I shall not plug any more  all about alterations which is what gave me the idea for turning my cardi into a waistcoat
I will adjust your allowance accordingly
