Using a Nokia 6630 with tomtom mobile....having a PDA with tomtom I though it would be a lot harder to navigate as the PDA has a touch screen, however; I was very impressed with how easy it is to navigate through the menu's on the mobile phone :)

Voice on the mobile phone is good and actually although the screen is smaller than the PDA it is still very clear to see :)

I already had a bluetooth GPS unit for my PDA so didn't need to get another one :)

I bought £3230 for £60 plus route66 for £90 and they where both made for me really good navigation for a mobile. Bought N70 now looking for a gps reciever myself. Try eBay they have many bundle phones. Ive found a gps reciever for £42.50 from Mobile Fun. Which might help you with the price of looking for a mobile phone that goes with it. If youre on a budget. Heres the link http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/8590.htm. Hope it helps.

Used a Nokia 6630 with Tom Tom mobile and it works fine. The best part is that since its on your phone, you’ll never forget and leave it in the car, nor will it take additional space in your pockets.
Additionally noticed that the cup holder in the car was a good place to keep the phone. The voice commands are heaven-sent as it means you don’t necessarily have to stare at the screen to figure out where the next turn is.

Considering the alternative of buying a separate Sat Nav unit for £150 and having to lug it around every time you leave the car - this was a no brainer. (Especially after seeing in the BBC that more than 500 Sat Nav units are stolen every month in London alone).

Apparently the crooks will now break into a car and check the glove compartment even if they see the impression of a sucker on the windscreen as they know that rather than carrying around a bulky Sat Nav unit, most people will simply pop it in to the glove compartment.

After I started using it, I haven’t got lost once and I’ll swear by it any day.
    My reality check bounced.
