I have been for my daily fiix in Boots got two lots DR 4 items, 3 N7 body spray, 1 exercise ball, sun cream, 2 venetian tea candle holders, 2 rose smelly cushions, 1 orange and bergamota eau de toilette... and I nearly got everything for 50p!!!! :T ;) that was a shame, the lady did some and my discount was enormous... she then ask someone to help and it went to 23 pounds, not bad considering I got 220 points and the 3 pounds vouchers.

I went to Boots today and asked nicely my boyfriend to go with me as I wanted to do 2 rounds of shopping, so I wouldn't need to stay in the queue twice.

We got two lots of DR stuff (2 face creams for my grandmas and 2 face kits for someone else - maybe my boyfriend's mum?), 2 gym balls and gym pack. I was trying to persuade my bf to get two balls as one I'll be taking for my sister and in the end he said 'What ever, lets get two - they arefree, so even if we through one away, we haven't lost anything'. I send my bf with face creams and one gym ball first and was following curiously if the vouchers will go through. It was a long queue and was a bit behind and I managed to hear as SA was saying '£10.50 please' (creams were £15.50 each). Thought great! an went on to pay for my lot. Amazing, SA didn't really ask anything or question - except the DR stuff, which I was sure about. So, paid £11.99 and got:

    2 DR clear skin sets
    Gym ball capsule
    Gym pack

Just inflated one of them and using as a foot stool now - sitting on the sofa in front of TV with laptop on my knees!!!

Woohoo, I just got myself a gym ball!

It's great going to Boots on a Saturday, lots of young people on the tills. I did buy another £4 worth of stuff, so the £10 off wasn't too obvious. Also, I used another 2 vouchers in addition to the 2 gym ball vouchers. I got a bit panicky when the young girl started going through the vouchers, reading them out loud, but she scanned them all anyway. :D

My 2-year-old loves the gym ball -- he's been bouncing on it all night! :rotfl: Also, it reminded me of my labour  , as I used one of those birth balls... but that's another story!

Am seriously thinking of going to get another one tomorrow... ;)
  • I was sooo frustrated today!
I haven't been to Wakefield for ages and today I thought I would visit. Went in, no TD and where the cheap items should have been had been blacked out with marker pen, but they did have the Dr hand sets (first time I have seen them) for £8.49 (bogof) so that was a barg.
I came prepared with the old vouchers and it was a good job I did as the four stands were completely empty of vouchers except for the smoking ones.

What frustrated me the most was I had earlier been to Cortonwood where they had tons of de-stress leaflets and I picked about 6 up and shoved them in my bag.
Before I went to Wakefield, I took them out as they were taking up too much room in my bag, only to find that Wakefield had tons of EA stuff under a £1 and I couldn't buy even one item as I had left my vouchers at home! :(

I walked round the store for ages chanting "I will find a voucher, I will find a voucher" :rotfl:
but in the end, although it broke my bargain finding heart, I had to put everything back on the shelves.

To add insult to injury, I went upstairs in the Wakefield store and they had both Gym balls and the Ab toner, Arrrrrrrrg!!!! ( but you guessed it, no vouchers)

Ah well, first thing tomorrow, I'll be knocking on Boots door, armed to the teeth with my own vouchers and bringing home bargains galore ;)

glitter - many years ago when my daughter was young I picked up one of the catalogues in Boots to keep her quiet and there was a piece of glass hanging down from the display. It cut the back of my hand (I still have the scar today), Boots weren't really interested, washed my hand and put a bandage on it. I consulted a solicitor and got a few hundred pounds back from them. As I say, still have the scar about 30 years later, worth enquiring further for you.
On a different note, how come Boots manage to keep solvent with the amount they give away??

Have had a good boots day today,

got 1 EA bathing powder free from the York city centre one this morning, sales assistant was a bit baffled when I didn't have to give her any money.

Then went to Monks Cross late afternoon and got:

Trevor Sorbie Straightening addict smoothing balm for £1.99 with the £3 haircare voucher I found on the floor in boots the other day (I use this product anyway)

Some No7 nourishing nail and cuticle care cream for £1 with £5 voucher my mum sent me (forgot to look for the 300 extra points coupon on the card machine :o )

2 EA body masks for 48p

2 TD toners free (first TD freebies I've had)

2 TD revitalising deep cleansing Mask for £2

    So saved over £29 today.

Don't know where they found the TD products, presumably in the store room as the face mask boxes were a bit battered and there was no SEL. Haven't had any out the last few times I've been in.

Shows it's worth keep visiting boots right up until last thing Tuesday - perhaps the toners were put out by someone by mistake

I now have, or so my husband says " a brass Kneck" and I am very proud.

Went to boots today and did several things.

I bought 5 x no 7 purses £6 to £1.50 and therefore thought I should get a frost & french set. Took it to the till and they said no. I therfore asked for the purses to be removed.

Just after xmas I bought 3 DR products for half price, when they were 3 for 2. Today I took them back. Bought them back again, together with a handcare set and used 2 x vouchers.

I then used 5 x no7 vouchers (couldn't use 300 points as all machines out of order, a little fishy me thinks)

I bought loads of cheap and reduced bits and then got an ab toner using 2 x vouchers.

All this accomplished at the camera counter, they tutted a bit but couldn't care less really.

I then went to another boots and got reduced EA and used vouchers and 2 x skin kindly sets which were reduced to £3.50 and had a £1 voucher in them. I used one of the £1 vouchers.

Then went to another boots and got pop dvd's reduced to £1 and laods of other bits.

I was ecstatic, rest of family not quite so happy, 11yr old dd thinks I'm sad!!!
  • I've found a new gym equipment bargain! You can also get an ankle and calf exerciser for £5. Here is the link for the one you are looking for:

EDIT: Apologies, I can't get the link to work. Try visiting https://www.boots.com and type the words "ankle" and "calf" into the search box.

Use the "Save £5 on a Boots Tae Kwon Do Bag or an Ankle & Calf Exerciser" voucher from the Get Fit (pink) booklet. Could be useful for someone with a deskbound job who wants to tone up their legs.
