Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 5

I posted that I couldn't find any EA products under £1 in any of my local stores - and beleive me I've looked! Today I found the shelves restocked and there was one pot of bath salt type stuff, that was £1.00.
Hurrah!
Got to the till - and couldn't find my voucher anywhere! Doh!
On the plus side - did pick up the abdominal toner - £40.00 - used £20 voucher from Get Fit and £20 from another leaflet (Lose Weight?). SA put the first through, looked at the second and said she didn't think it would work - I said I thought it should cos they were from 2 different books, so she tried - and it took both off - SA smiled and said "well done!"
I'm sure my husband thinks I'm a secret shopaholic - he can't quite beleive it when I say that all these things are free!0 -
Went to a small Boots today and found a few TD hand creams. Picked up just two, also found an EA candle, and bought something else. The SA grumpily announced that they've been told by HO that it's one TD/DR voucher per customer. I only had two! :rolleyes:
Was a bit annoyed as they can't enforce this in larger stores, so what's the point... Anyway, went to another store and found a silver bottle of TD body lotion (never seen one before!) on the clearance shelf reduced to 3.75, so free to me!(This was Broad St in Reading - I left another 3 on the shelf!

Found some EA bargain today in the Broadmead Bristol store.
Got 4x Geranium and Orange bath essence in glass bottles reduced to £1.40 so 40p per bottle with voucher - had loads more left for other MSE's
2x Body clays reduced to £1 so free.
Also grabbed some DR to check is still BOGOF as some reduced stock and they were so 2 products that should have been £20 for £2.50!
They also had gift sets of the EA with 4 minitures in reduced to £2.50 - two sets to choose from so would only be £1.50 with voucher.
Used one voucher and deducted a £1 off all.
Also picked up 2x soother savers from Mam reduced from £2.99 to 49p.
Was concerned as only had choice of one sales assistant upstairs and thought that I would try my luck. Always print out all the points offers from the machine and hand them in - this SA did not even check and put them all through even though I had not bought the products - and she give me a Haircare voucher even though the total was reduced to £7.25 in the end and I walked away with over 1000 points - 300 N07 two x Detox = 400 points 75 point spent 50 point Boots haircare plus normal points. Now am back up to get more clothes for DD!!!
Oh and made a complaint to Customer Care about the No7 vouchers as posted previously. They are well behind in there workloads at the moment and took over 7 days to reply so as a gesture of goodwill they added another 1000 points to my account!!!!0 -
Noticed that someone mentioned being baffled by the abbreviations and acronyms on this thread. Would the following help? (Obvious to oldie Boots tarts, perhaps not to newbies
)
DR = Daniele Ryman
TD = Time Delay
EA = Essential Aromatherapy
see PaleScene's first post regarding the deals on these ranges
SA = Service Assistant
AC = Advantage Card
HO = Head Office
SEL = Shelf Edge Label
T&G = Tony & Guy
These are what I can think of right now... Obviously, we've also had EI, LM, Med, Cucumber and FF in the past but not so essential any more...0 -
I'm sure my husband thinks I'm a secret shopaholic - he can't quite beleive it when I say that all these things are free!
My husband huffs and puffs all the way round the store and moans like a little child, he waits for me by the exit when he knows i'm going to the till as he thinks i'm doing something I shouldn't be. I meet him outside with bags full of goodies and a huge smile on my face as he peers inside the bag I say "Honey it was all free" and he says "well go back and get some more then!!!!"
Men, they make me laughRunning total for swagbucks - £270 since Jan

Great idea Dormouse. Perhaps someone could compile a list of all of the EA items that are reduced, as many stores still seem to only be showing the original full price still lift on the SEL. I just take things up to the till now and ask for a price check before deciding whether to 'buy' them or not!0 -
I'm plucking up the courage to "purchase" the Ab toner on Saturday, so can those successful people tell me if they just handed both vouchers over together and held their breath or is there some other way?0

Mind you, I'm fairly new to Boots AC and I have realised that sometimes if I print a few AC vouchers off but do not buy the items, the SA will scan them through but, other times they read the voucher and check my items as though I am comitting a crime !! I think it depends on the SA. Good Luck though and post so I know how you get on. I might go and try it on Monday.I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL
