  • moat taxi's around here are skoda's, which says a lot for their reliabity..

    i quite like the octavia.
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)
  • But doesn't the Roomster only have 5 seats versus the 7 seat Galaxy? Having moved from Skoda to VW (never again), we went to Ford for a Galaxy, now had 2 of them and they are good cars if you need something practical. But if Skoda offered a 7 seat car, I'd go back to them like a shot.

Yes,I got the flowers too and an invite to Chester Catherdal for a Carol service, mince pies and mulled wine!
After I had an accident (one of these scams by gangs that stop in front of you at roundabouts) that was witnessed by a Skoda employee, I got a telephone call to see if I was alright and a bouquet of flowers delivered to my home to make me feel better.

the staff in there are brillaint. When I was in there everyone who bought a car got a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge boquet of flowers. I went on a test drive in one of their cars once and when I got back they had washed my car off for me!!

    Bloody hell that's good service!

does he do MSE discount fares?
im looking for a few taxi journeys in a few months time down your way.
not exec but i cut the mustard. ;)

I don't suspose it would seem very discounted compared to Scottish fares, but its Chelsea;)
He works early morn to early eve (no late nights - unless its a very well paid job).
Are you serious Goldspangles? I will PM you his mobile number.

I bought a Fabia from Mitchells in Ellesmere Port and I can have (as can anyone who has bought a Skoda from them) a free car wash every Saturday morning while I enjoy a free coffee/tea/hot chocolate and cakes in their curtesy lounge. The after service is seconed to none and the Skoda is so reliable, it's a make I will stick with.

Talk about having your Cake & Eating it.

Was debating Mitchells for my last purchase but read some bad reports from them plus the sales guy I called wouldn't leave me alone, in the end bought from Claybank.

But good to here some positive reports on them.
    Cheers

  • I agree, the sales guy I dealt with at Mitchells didn't leave me alone. But that's thier job...

Tho this is why when I go into dealerships pretending to buy a car - I give them a PAYG number that I don't often use...

Roomster isnt like the Galaxy - Closest match to a Ford would be the C-Max.

What I would seriously look at for West end exec work though is the new Superb. Have been driving one for the last 8 weeks and its blown me away.

Leg room in the back is more than we get in our A6 and the drive quality is fantastic. I read some fantastic reviews and it lives up to them. Had a call before xmas from our Skoda guy to put a demo in for the New Octavia that is coming out in Jan - If its anywhere near as good as the Superb may take some to replace the Mondeos we have on the fleet.

Think you will be very pleased with your car.
