Favourite Presents

Hi All

Just thought i would ask.

What was your favourite present and why?

Mine was a hand made chocolate box with two Elizabeth Shaw mint chocolates inside. Made for me by my son aged 3 and a half at Nursery.

What was your worst present?

Mine was a pair of leather gloves that were two left hands!!

Mine was a diamante DKNY £150 watch from Goldsmiths paid with Tesco vouchers. My husband gave me the money for the watch as I am terrible and didn't tell him how I had paid for it. I should feel guilty but as I buy all the Christmas presents for the kids and our families I don't.

My worst present was about 5 years ago when he bought me as my main present a massive framed picture of Everton's ground, I pretended that I liked it and spent the whole day in secret tears -pathetic I know.

OOOPS, Worst gift? My 17 year old daughter ( a few years ago) gave me some coloured stones she had "found" under her bed, wrapped in toilet roll and full of what can only be described as "bits".
  • I had lots of nice presents, Santa was very kind to me, I must have been a very good girl!

But one of my favourite presents was one of those sunrise alarm clocks - I had no idea I was getting one and had never said I wanted one, but I was really pleased! It is fan-tabby-tastic! I didnt think it would work as I am a very deep sleeper, but I wake up as the light gets brighter, long before the bird song starts!

Im pleased to say I didnt have any awful presents, so like I said before I must have been a very good girl!

    My best present:

Well actually I have two but for different reasons.
One is a Greenhouse - I have an allotment and its just perfect for it
One is a cinema voucher - unusual present, perfect for us as we are financially challenged and it will be a lovely treat for us

    Worst present:

A bracelet ideal for a child. I am 34! (i shall recycle it on)

  • My best present was...it's really tricky, I had some lovely gifts. Probably a bath pillow, it's so soft and will mean I can really relax in the bath now without hurting my neck.

Worst Present this year... some smellies that smell....well, we'll just say they aren't to my taste, I'll re-gift them to someone I think will appreciate the scent.

Glad to see that Santa was good to so many people this year.

  • My best pressi ever was a picture of Martin from the website that my sis had printed out and stuck in a frame and she had written on it "Merry Christmas Niki Thanks for your continued support all my MSE love" I didn't stop laughing all Christmas day!
It is now pride of place next to the computer!

  • I got a lovely fluffy blanket that I've been snuggled up in ever since. :)

One year all I got was foriegn language dictionaries which made me a bit sad. I did need them for my course, but I was really stressed about the exams and thought that I would enjoy a revision free day on christmas day, but seeing them there just reminded me about the exams all day.
    August grocery challenge: £50
    Spent so far: £37.40 :A
  • My favourite present this year has got to be the Wicked the musical snowglobe my OH bought me. My OH doesn't really do xmas and usually I have to prompt him to get me things for xmas because he doesn't know what to get, but this year he surprised not only with the gift, but that he thought of it and got it on his own. Wicked is my favourite musical and the snowglobe is just gorgeous!!!
