debt_doctor wrote: »Hi,
sorry to hear about your experience with CCCS. Bat is certainly on the right track, but i am a little confused by your benefits.
Your sons DLA is not relevent, and it seems your income is entirely made from benefits. You say you receive that you get full HB but only 25% council tax benefit, which I find a little odd.
I know you say that you receive inc ben, but that probably has a little top up of income support ( basic inc support plus dis premium ) in which case you should get full council tax ben also.
There is no way that any of your income should go to pay creditors, whether in an DMP or BR.
BR looks a good option for you based on the info you have given

I have to agree, CCCS is useing your DLA to make it apear like you have a surplus, which should be going elswhere, as for reduceing housekeeping to 275 for two adult and half a child so to speak, she is way of all guidelines thereThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
Income support = money for basic living, ie food, gas, elec, water, tv lic and nothing for creditors.
DLA = money for assisting you to cope with your disability and nothing for creditors.

Yes, we know you did BH, but that was your CHOICE, you didn't have to, you and your OH wanted to and had the support of each other. OP's OH has bu99ered off and left her to sort it out herself.
