Thank you soooooo much costcutter.
Managed to get a break away in October half term. Now just got to fit me, hubby, 5 kids and all our luggage in the car. Usually scrape together enough to go to Butlins but the twins will be two by then so will cost the same as DH and I and they want £50 for baby too.
Can't go in school time as we can't take the older two out of middle school.0 -
Gosh.....all getting a little complicated for me as a first timer !
Am now underwAY .......so is my friend. We are hoping to go with our children. Can we both send forms off with different dates on in the hope of getting a booking ?
If you want to go together you need to send the forms off together, with a letter explaining that you want to holiday together.0 -
I'm going to Rockley Park in June! Never been there before - has anyone else? Is it nice?0

hmmm its been being "abused" not only this time round!
codes shared all the time on here and other forums etc
so why only now are they going to tighten up
hmmmm
Maybe they've done some sort of review and found that sales of the paper don't actually rise enough during these promotions, despite TV advertising. They probably bank on a few extra people getting hooked and continuing to buy, and perhaps their advertising revenue depends on those extra sales.
It's fair enough I suppose - I wouldn't be buying the paper anyway though, my nan buys it and I get the tokens and booking form off her if I am sending a postal booking.
If they want to tighten things up to stop abuse it would be easy enough, making people actually buy the paper would be more difficult though if they want to keep the internet booking system.
Internet booking will save them a bit of money though, they don't need to pay somebody to type the details in from the forms. Bookings were over 15000 last night! Still, perhaps they could give the priority customers a paper form but make them collect fewer tokens.
To stop abuse they could simply keep the address details static, not let you type over them with different details. People might be less willing to pass their code on if they knew they were going to be the lead name for another person's holiday, and responsible for anything that stranger might do to the caravan.
They could keep the site closed before midnight, and not allow a code word which hasn't yet been printed52% tight0 -

Hi everyone, i have a spare priority code (forwarded from our old address next door)
I'm just wondering about the details on there. Will the person who uses it be able to change their details? ie name, address etc?0 -
hi is that rockley park in poole dorset if so my dad actually works there and it is a great place got its own little beach i used to go crabbing there when i was little0

It's random. Last year my family booked 4 holidays (so the 16 of us went on holiday together, I mean, not 4 spearate holidays!) but only 2 of us got priority forms through the post.
Thanks for giving away your code bravobeastie :T52% tight0 -
I know thanks counts aren't important, but the people who give away references on here don't seem to be getting much in the way of thanks
Obviously there will be a pm from the grateful recipient, but I thought more people would be thanking the people who give codes away - all of us, not just the person who got the code.
