SNAP, except I've got four kids...... gave up in the end for fear of missing out on any holiday. We've chosen Devon instead, park we've been to before so we know we'll be ok, it was just the kids wanted to go to Butlins and there's no way I can afford it unless it's on a £9.50 hol and event ehn with all the surcharges it will be a dig deep moment!!! And Butlins is much shorter drive than Devon!!!! but hey ho we're going and that the mains thing!!

It's a shame, but butlins won't let you book with 6 people. I know somebody who booked 2 holidays, and dad had a room with 2 kids and she had a room with the other 2 kids. Of course it doubles the cost of your holiday and you have to find an extra priority code though :(

If you go close to butlins you can pay per day to enter the site, I don't know how much it is though. They have staff on the butlins exits and if you're staying onsite and you want to go across to the beach you need to get a pass to allow you back in again, or if you're not staying onsite you can pay to get in.

You could spend a full day there - go early and watch the shows in the big white tent, go on the funfair and spend hours in the pool (it's like waterworld, rapids and slides etc) and then watch more shows lol!

We've been to minehead butlins and we went through Watchett, I think it's a mile or 2 away from butlins. I know somebody in the playground said she had booked her holiday for watchett but I don't know if it's a haven or how good it is for kids. If I remember correctly Watchett has a harbour and is very pretty.

Sorry you've already booked your break and this is a waffling post, but for next time you might want to look at the parks near butlins and just pay to enter for the day, if the kids are desperate to go there. People on MSE would tell you where everyhting is and give you tips on how to make the most of your day there.

just wondering, all these people trying to buy priority booking reference numbers of ebay, will they even be able to use them, as when i put my code in, my address was already filled in, i know they could probably change them, but does anybody know if the sun has got something in place, where if the address does not match where they sent that reference number too you cant use it, Dave

You just change the details to your own. My reference number has got my sister's ex husband on it, not me. He booked once, around 8 years ago! I have been booking every year, but they send a reference to him and not me.

My family were kindly given a reference by an MSE member 2 years ago, and have also bought one off ebay. It always works okay and you get the holiday :D

I gave up trying at 3.00am and thought I would give it another go now but still no good. I enter my reference number, enter the 8 words (and varied the last one from the different ones posted on here) and enter my email address and press "BOOK NOW".

It takes me to a screen with the hottest places so far and another button saying "BOOK NOW" to check availability and to book now.

Press that and I go back to the entry screen AGAIN! ARRRRGGGHHH!!!

I think I have entered all the details correctly as if I miss my email address out I get a red message saying some of the info is incorrect.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? PLS HELP.

I don't know why, but when it kept messing around with my mum's booking (I did it for her last night) I had to clear the cookies, then close the sun website and open up a new one. I looked for cookies left by thesun and deleted them, I think there were 5 of them, and then it worked okay and let her start again from scratch.

No worries about waffling I usually waffle too, OH reckons I use 100 words when 10 will do LOL anyway........ I would've booked twice if i'd had two codes to secure the holidays, and had two rooms. We had to do this when we went to spain so it wouldn't have been a problem. But i have tried by post in past for Butlins and NEVER been successful, so wasn't prepared to take chance even if I had known about only booking for four peeps before I paniced and booked different park. I'm also tied to school holidays as DD is in her GSCE yr.
Also it wouldn't doublethe costof my holiday, just double the service charge everything else would stay the same wouldn't it?? but all a mute point now :(

ah well at least I know for future ref, will ask round and see if any mates get a priority booking form that they won't next time.

there are a lot of us going to Devon cliffs Easter Week - is that because it is a good park or because it was the only one available I wonder

Perhaps we should all have MSE T-Shirts so we can recognise each other :D
Been to Devon Cliffs twice before on Sun hols. Very large site, plenty to do, right on large beach great for walks. Have fun. Jo

tried restarting pc .... same result.

tried leaving second screen blank as suggested but just says "incomplete information" ... the screen is the same as the 1st log-in screen.

Probably just have to take my chances and send form in post but won't hold out too much hope as I would like whitsun week mon-fri in Weymouth and I'm pretty sure those times will be snapped up straight away.

Don't give up. You'll get there eventually. Just keep trying.

Restart PC. Clear cookies. Open new window.

    Don't lose hope :p

PARKLIFE, is that the Sun Bonus Free Entertainment Pass? i didn't get to use it, too late.

I've booked Butlins bognor regis half board + other extras (linen, ent passes, service charge ...) getting a bit worried now as booking direct at butlins it's £252 for 3 of us. fingers crossed it's not more than that as i will be kicking my backside for not checking first.
