  • Does anybody have a telephone number for the Sun Holidays dept that actually works? I've tried the 0870 one that's in the booklet but it says the hotline is closed (it's only 4pm!).

I sent them an email, but the man who replied said to phone when the hotline opens after 26th Feb  And just said the standard stuff about how they can't make amendments to bookings due to any errors I've made (the error is theirs ). I'm not really willing to wait that long, they've allocated me the wrong park and I don't want the one they've given me, I don't want to miss out on any spaces left at my chosen parks.

TBH i am not sure what you can do

how can you prove they have allocated you a park you didnt want ?

are you sure you didnt write down the wrong park number ?

    hope you get it sorted

  • Thanks. I thought the same but I copied down the park numbers and dates from the form into two seperate places to keep as a record and they both say the numbers I'm sure I picked. I chose one in Scotland and 3 in North Wales, the park they've given me is in Mid Wales, the number is one digit different to the ones I chose. I know I would have written the right numbers down as I've even circled them in the booklet as I filled out my form. Will try that phone number again tomorrow and see what happens

For the UK parks, the last token was end Jan. They are doing a deal to European parks now.
    See http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/travel/sunholidays/europe/article2199562.ece

Collect 7 tokens - token 6 is in todays paper & you'll need to collect all next weeks - then send off. Not sure where you get the order form from as it was in Wednesdays paper but there's probably one on their website somewhere. Someone also gave me this link http://www.ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/cgi-bin/UKHS_park_0003.cgi?promo=SUNEUR09&sort=A&showall=N which will give you more details about each park. For the European ones you also need to factor in travel costs.

    Hi,

We had our confirmation for Doniford Bay Park in Somerset. We wanted to upgrate to Superior Plus, but then the total would of taken us to £132. Then I looked up the Doniford Bay website, and they had a special offer for superior plus £110. Same dates etc. So I called them. First, they didn't wanted let me have the offer price, as we booked over the sun. But after a lot of polite requests and asking to speak to the manager, we now have the holiday for £110.

Finally got our confirmation, will call them monday and see if they will elt us extend the holiday by one, so OH doesn't have to take any time off to bring us home LOL

When I called enquiring about where the confirmation was, the lady said they generally just let people upgrade for 55 and that give people on mid week break a whole week, teh only problem is that means our holiday would start on Easter Saturday. Can't see them letting us get away with the same price considering it's a main peak holiday can you?
