How easy is it to change names on the booking nearer the time? Might be taking mother in law instead of my mum :(

I don't think the names will make a difference, I wouldn't bother changing them, they don't ask for proof or anything as long as the numbers are the same they won't mind.

It might make a difference for the entertainment passes though?

I go to butlins skegness on friday and have heard nothing, normally have had confirmation letter asking for money for standing charge, sheets and entertainment passes, I'm a little worried.

We go to Butlins Bognor this Fri and only heard last Thursday so they are quite slow. The letter we received welcomed us and had our booking no on it but nothing about paying the balance!
I asked about changing a name as my mum was going instead of me and they said it wasn't a problem.
I was also told that if we bring our own linen we need to bring the lot - duvets, pillows etc!

We got Doniford Bay for March. It was our third choice. Has anyone been there before? Is it better to update or are the standard accomodation ok? We are going with 2 toddlers.

Thanks a lot and everyone a great holiday

hi, i think it depends on how you feel about the accomodation as to whether you're better off upgrading.

If you are just using it as a base to sleep and wont spend a lot of time there then the standard is a good choice.

If you will be in it a fair amount and as it's in march it might be still cold i'd upgrade personally.

I have two toddlers and we upgraded to get the heat in the bedrooms & a better standard caravan.. but you could just take a heater or extra clothing.
  • Hi all

I just want to give hope to folk who like me didn't have a priority code and so had to collect newspaper tokens.

Reading all the posts leading up to this promotion I thought I'd need a code or at least have to tick the "any park in area" option. But I took a chance and stuck to 5 parks and dates just in May & end of April, and sent in tokens a day or two after the earliest opportunity (as I'd missed a paper or two).
Well, a few days back I got confirmation from Park Resorts for our 3rd choice park and 5th choice date, so I'm well happy as I'd thought there was a fair chance of getting nothing. Chuffed!

    also

Can I make a plea for everyone - this means you! - to post reviews on review sites e.g. www.tripadvisor.com , www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites after their holidays. It was really difficult picking 5 parks, but if we all post even a short review then next year we'll all really know where's good and where isn't.

    Happy holidays!
