Backing Up DS Lite games

Hi All

My grandson is getting quite a few DS Lite games in his collection and I was wondering if I could use this to put them all onto one card so he doesn't have to keep swapping the cartridges?

All help gratefully received as always.

BTW, I've been informed that an "EDGE" card does the same thing, is this correct?

Yes you could on an edge card

Others include dstt, acekard, r4,CycloDS etc.

Thanks for that - will the one I linked to have all the bits I need for creating the backups (i.e. all the connectors, cables, etc)?

It will give you the card and an adapter for the sd card, no cables or anything else are provided.

No card will provide you with anything to make copies of DS games as that would be illegal.

I think you may be assuming it's an easy thing to do which it isn't, you may be better doing a google search yourself rather than discussing it here though ?

How is it illegal to make backup copies of things I already own?
If that's the case, then making copies of your hard-drive and software for backup purposes would also be illegal but obviously isn't and is freely discussed on here!

Actually Geewhiz its very simple, pm me if you want to know more. As long as you own the game, making a copy isn't illegal.

The one you have linked to should give you everything you need. No cables are needed.
I have an R4 and once you know what you are doing they are very easy to use.
