Are my gift vouchers now useless or do I have any sort of right to spend them there?

As Mr V Rich, Tom Hunter put USC into administration....then dumped a load of shop leases and re negotiated rents on the remaining.....he then popped USC into a Shiny New Company, free of debt (or purchased at a reduced rate) and with less supplier invoices than it had pre administration.

So the USC that you walk into isn't technically the same USC. It's a new company.

I would write a really nice letter to Head Office (not a ranting one yet....you can do that if they say no) asking, pretty please, for a new gift voucher to replace the old one.

If they have half a brain about goodwill, they will replace it with a new one. If they don't keep their loyal customers happy, then they aren't helping themselves to trade through the coming 2 years.
