I have the reverse problem. I'm a 30" waist (max) and many normal person shops (Next, M&S etc) only go down to a 32" in many styles. I end up having to go to fancy places as they hold smaller waisted troosers (presumably for their younger clientele).

I used to have this problem. The simplest solution is to spend a year or so doing some really concerted eating and not too much exercise – spending plenty of time on discussion forums is a good way of avoiding anything too strenuous.
After following this regime I found I could get into 32" trousers quite comfortably.
  • Ohh i really liked USC, also ive ordered some really nice boots from there and im getting worried if they will get to me now. At the moment USC sent an e-mail saying its dispatched by UPS are saying they have not received it yet.

Also whoever said USC is for Chavs you couldnt be more wrong, first of all Chavs cant afford USC, second of all they were tracksuits, when was the last time you walked past a bus shelter and they were wearing expensive G-Star Jeans and a diesal top, never thats becuase they are all a little less than 5ft from smoking too much and all they wear is the SAME tracksuit that they bought from a place like JJB, (which imo is the next to go into admin).
In my opinion buying a Diesal top or G Star jeans is the teenage version of buying a Versache suit when you are an adult.

I quite like my £5 M&S sale jeans.......

My most expensive clothing item was my wedding dress, it cost me £186, a figure that my mother said she could not compete with (she was a dressmaker pre married days) and it didn't look cheap or nasty, it was gorgeous and looked like it cost an awful lot more.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I was approached by another Port Employee the other day and he asked did I know Jetski?
I thought he must have been asking because he had been talking to you, however it transpired that another young lady had been viewing the PORT thread and had got worried that her friends Jobs could be under a cloud.
He soon explained that it was just some idiot posting rubbish and trying to make a name for himself (he was not talking about Jetski but that idiot Mr Tits).
This is how people start to worry and get depressed for no reason but for Idiot scare mongerers who have such a boring life that they want to ruin others.

Ahh...wouldn't have been me as I am so poor with names I would never remember the addys being used. I can remember container numbers but give me a name and I will forget it in 2 seconds flat!

  • Along the lines of NDG/fc123's dad(s), my grandpa was just the same and despite being reasonably well off was always happiest in the most revolting old gardening trews and a frayed jumper. My dad is an academic and wears sandals with grey socks, and has a selection of geeky tshirts.
  • I've bought the odd item from them and I'm not a chav .I've been buying decent clothes since i left school 25 years ago .
I dont bother with jeans now though used to buy boss jeans etc but to be honest i can get a pair for half the price and they still fit nice.
The best way to buy designer clothes is to buy items with discret labels no big branding accross the front etcand dont buy high fashion stuff buy classic stuff no patterns it will last for years

But what's the point? Why spend all that extra money paying for goods from designers and then hide the label or go for items that don't show a label? You're paying a premium for that label, no matter where it is and buying expensive clothes that are no different to non branded stuff you see all over the high street at NEXT etc. All made in the same place and by the same people.

Forget USC and crap places like that. If you want nice clothes then go to Tescos or M&S. You can also get some lovely clothes at knockdown prices from places like Racing Green for example.
