I have been in our local hospital since half seven this morning as DD(13) had an operation...............

We know that in the new year all the 'experts' will be talking to the other kids, my big girl and OH's little boy who is 6. It feels a bit like what they did to witches in medieval times, where they were damned to die either way. If my DD tells the truth as she has before that my ex was very violent and she was a witness, also that her sister told her he was still being violent to the new wife, then I will be in more trouble because they have decided I made the kids say it. If she doesn't tell the truth then she IS a liar which I can't accept, she would not be comfortable with lying anyway, and it would make all the statements she has given in the past untrue so supporting their theory.

(((((hugs))))) stressed - hope DD(13) feeling better soon - you really needed this on top of everthing didn't you....:o

As far as the New Year - make sure that you insist that ALL statements, transcripts, etc are kept on file (including the original ones), and mention that you also have a copy of all incidents mentioned and all the names of the people dealing with the case. If they ask why - you can then say that WHEN something happens (and you're sure it will) you don't want it all whitewashed over and people washing their hands of the part they played. With all the Baby P hooha, that might concentrate their minds a bit.

Also, does your DD go to nursery/school yet - wouldn't hurt to voice your concerns there, i.e. any sign of distress, marks, etc - they might just take a bit more notice of.

Sorry, rambled a bit but know what I'd be like if she were mine:o
