i just pray and hope that mr divadees job is ok he is a manager at b&q so worrying the way retail is going. b&q have said that there is no problems and to be honest i couldnt see it happening, but then who would of thought woolies would of gone. i can see why woolies has in a way, they were very expensive.

the new-ish name for virgin megastore they were bought out last year and re branded zavvi

they have a msg on site saying they wont accept gift vouchers etc and are hoping for a buyer, i hope they do.
they were getting there stock from same place as woolies , hence they r in trouble xxx

I think we all worry about our jobs, my hubbie works for fords, so you can imagine what goes through my head, we just have to take each day as it comes, not all companies are suffering badly, I can imagine B&Q is not in a bad state as people tend to do their own diy now,believe you and me we have spent a fortune in there since buying our bungalow.
I agree woolies did tend to be expensive, but you could save a trip by buying it with your shopping.

Wow what bargains...! Ours already closed so nothing left. They even sold the chairs from canteen!

OH and I both work in education so hopefully will be ok. Hope everyone else is... I would think B&Q would be ok what with all the DIY people will do instead of moving house?

Pauls job in i.t is guaranteed to easter for def after that the company has to relook at its books.
what bugs me is they charge clients £650 a day for pauls services and he gets that a week.
Yes that good money, but his company makes a ruddy fortune and they have frozen all increases next year, thankfully he got a rise before this all happened but he could still get more elsewhere.
With his i.t skills he should be ok and our plan if the worst happens is that he works freelance, he will make alot more than what he gets now but wont have the security he has with an employer. xx
